Round 4 Ben Jones OG Georgia
Round 4:Ryan Broyles WR Oklahoma
Round 4:Casey Hayward CB Vanderbilt
Round 5:Chris Rainey RB/WR Florida
Round 6:Vontaze Burfict ILB Arizona St
Round 7:George Bryan TE NC State

I think that we will trade down to acquire more picks in the 3rd round. I know I have some questionable characters on my draft but they hired Phillip Daniels for a reason.

I can see maybe rolling the dice on one character concern, but not multiple guys.

That said I'd rather keep with last year's type of draftee, 4 year starter, high character kids, team captains, etc.

I'd honestly be happy with any of those guys. I really like Miller along with Turbin if we're talking guys that can be workhorse types, Miller reminds of Portis a bit. James seems more like a change of pace 3rd down guy. I think I'd lean toward Turbin if I had a choice.

5th: Alfonzo Denard CB, Nebraska (falls due to arrest)

7th: Cliff Harris CB/PR, Oregon

3rd: LaMichael James RB, Oregon
4th: Ryan Broyles WR, Oklahoma
4th: Donald Stephenson OT, Oklahoma
5th: Phillip Thomas S, Syracuse

Either would be nice.

Turbin reminds me of a faster, more elusive, less stupid LaGarette Blount. Or a poor mans Trent Richardson.

So if we go Turbin, do you think Helu starts with Turbin spelling him or vice-versa?

Depending on if Turbin blocks well or not, I could see Turbin starting with Helu spelling him because he seems like more of a complete back to me. I do love Helu a lot and i would hope he still gets a lot of touches but I just feel Turbin would start in that circumstance.

I think Turbin was a smokescreen to get Hightower to sign. They want a Sproles type back that can shift outside to create mismatches, resign hightower who is the power back and then they have a runner for every type of situation.

It would probably take time before Turbin would start but EVENTUALLY that's how i see it happening

I don't think the running game is enough of a focus for this team to benefit or warrant chasing after an upgrade at RB.
Especially with a high pick in this, an already limited draft.

We have 3 good backs.
We don't run the ball a lot. (Houston ran the ball 546 times we ran the ball 400 times)
We don't even know the cieling of the backs we currently have.
For all we know Evan Royster/Helu could be Arian Foster/Ben Tate
