Is he a pass rushing outside LB, or can he play inside in the 34. If he cant play inside in our scheme this was a waste of a pick.

Draft Scout Snapshot: 2010: Started all 12 games at outside linebacker and appeared on special teams a second-team All-Big 12 selection by the Associated Press, honorable mention All-Big 12 by the league's coaches posted a team-leading 113 tackles (61 solo), along with eight TFL, two sacks, two INTs, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, two PBU and one TD scored his first career TD with a 10-yard fumble recovery return, snared his first interception and logged six tackles (five solos), including one TFL, at Rice, garnered the College Football Performance Awards Division I FBS National Linebacker Performer of the Week, the team's Ball Hawk Award and Defensive Player of the Game Award for his effort against the Owls registered a career-high with 19 tackles (10 solo) and two TFL against No. 8 Oklahoma. 2009: Started 14 games at outside linebacker an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection posted 74 tackles (42 solo), 1.5 sacks, five TFL, a pressure and four PBU Notched a season-high 10 tackles, including a TFL, in the Big 12 Championship game versus No. 21 Nebraska. 2008: Appeared in 12 games at outside linebacker posted 24 tackles (16 solo), two TFL, a sack, a pressure and a PBU also led the team with 10 special-teams tackles recorded four tackles, two TFL and his first career sack against Arkansas. 2007: Redshirted. Personal: Brother, Aubrey Smith, played cornerback at NAIA's Missouri Valley College.

He's an ILB.

Nice Pick IMO...........was pretty well-regarded and fills a need.

Wait ... an OLB?

Kerrigan, White, Jackson, Orakpo ... aren't we deep in young talent at that position? Am I missing something? What about OT? DB? ILB? Aren't we in need there? ... not sure what the thinking is.

Well if he's an ILB thats a little different but I would have worshiped the front office for another ZB lineman.
