| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 Actually it would have been closer to the Giants drafting Eli in round 1 and Schuab in round 4 (Schuab was picked very close to where the Skins selected Cousins and both had similar pre draft grades and legacies).

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 The entire QB position needed upgrading. With Griffin and Cousins, there's a new starter and a new back up and both are upgrades over what the Redskins had at the position last season. Grossman is still there only because he knows the offense. I have no problem with the Redskins picking Cousins, especially if he was still available when the Redskins picked. In fact, Kirk Cousins was a total steal. |

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 Hell, even though they were picked in different years, this is like Vick and Schaub or Rodgers and the pair taken in 2008. The backups who have no shot at making it as THE GUY on the team that drafted them but eventually might succeed elsewhere.

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 they said forever ago they wanted to get 2 qbs, and they did.... just because the 2nd one came before the 6th round shouldn't cause people to think the sky is falling. we got good value, cousins > beck, which means the team is better at the QB position (and #2/#3 qb position) than before the draft. I'm fine with it in every way.

| Really not sure how I feel about this pick. Any quotes from RG3 about the Cousins pick?

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 “We were in the same group in the combine, so I got to know him a little bit. He’s a good guy. I look forward to going out and growing with him … He got drafted a little bit later than he would have liked but I’m glad to have him on the team.” |

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 Slept on this pick woke up this morning and I like it, we are going to teach both these QB's our system correct there bad habits while there still learning. Who knows maybe we trade him for a player or a pick next year. |

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 As for the Cousins pick, at first I was like many of us, confused and frustrated by the pick but then recognized this draft was more about 2013, 2014 and beyond than 2012. This addresses the most expensive and highest position of turnover in the league so now it's locked up, 2 deep for the next 4 years at what will be an affordable price. Unless he's a complete flop and can't grasp the offense or simply can't play at this level, we've got a future asset or at worst a career backup who will have years of experience running our system. I would have rather seen another 'need' player there but ultimately, I'm fine with the pick.

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 Just asking here but for how long?I understand the logic here but how long do you think he(Cousins)will be happy as a back up,I'm sure he believes he's a starter in the NFL and will want a chance to prove it.I see a play me or trade me ....down the road.
