Would have much rather seen a quality player taken that would have filled a OL or DL position. Possibly a Nose Tackle prospect that maybe a started in a year or 2. | |

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 Given how some of the players they drafted had a pretty fluid draft stock I doubt they really missed out on anyone they wanted. Maybe a few but none where their whole draft was thrown off. As some of the beat writers said when the Redskins were picking in the third round, there were a lot of players they liked and trading down wasn't an issue.

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 I've been a long time proponent of adding 2 young QBs so I'm very content we finally have it. We have exactly what I've wanted. The franchise starter, the veteran back up, the up and coming 3rd stringer.

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 Was waiting on the Kirk Cousins pick poll to weigh in, but for right now, it's a single thumb clearly up. A lot will depend on how the Shanahan's manage Cousins and Grossman, which is kind of a scary proposition, but we've had first round prospects on this team before and who knows how that we'll work out. What we have now is the first quality backup in a long time. Maybe since the 2005 or 2006 season where Campbell was the QB in waiting.

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 The more i think about it, the less i like the pick. One of Cousins qualities all the experts talked about was his leadership abilities. I just think if RG3 struggles this year and next year there will a lot of fans calling for Cousins. RG3 has a lot of pressure already. I guess only time will tell, but if he does struggle in 2012 and 2013 RG3 and the Skins will have a bad divorce IMO. |

Speaking generally, I do feel a lot of fans need to realize that RG3 is not necessarily going to take this team to the playoffs right away.

| Re: Kirk Cousins pick 4.7 If RG3 is really struggling 2 years in, we have bigger problems than worrying about who the backup is. The only way RG3 loses the job is if he plays his way out of it. The presence of Cousins isn't going to determine his fate. |
