Jernigan sounds interesting.

Re: 2014 draft prospects Early edition

I'm thinking we should get either a very solid C or G who could push to start for us immediately or if one of them fall to us in the second round we should draft WR Kelvin Benjamin, FSU or WR Allen Robinson, Penn State.

Re: 2014 draft prospects Early edition

You know i actually liked the way in 2011 that we had the draft before free agency started. It would suck to spend big on a FA at this or that position only to turn around and see a top prospect at that position fall to you in the draft.

With that said i think the best way to go (within reason) is BPA. Its better to pick a good player at a position that may not be that big of a need than pick a lesser player with the idea of filling a bigger hole. If the players not good the hole remains. (Devin Thomas and Malcomb Kelly) Minn. needed a QB so they reach for position over talent.3 years later QB is still there number 1 need

This year we will see how good this front office is at evaluating talent.

Fanspeak's On the Clock NFL Mock Draft Simulator

Somewhat entertaining, although it isn't very realistic.

I would be in love with that outcome, but not a chance in hell. Jernigan will go top 15 of the first round.

So ... to move up 17 spots in the second round. MIA is giving us there 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th? Can't see that happening.

I don't like the notion of trading down if there are players whose values we like at that point in the draft. in 2011, Shanny traded down from #10 to #16 to get Kerrigan and a couple more picks in later rounds (3 & 4?). JJ Watt and Robert Quinn were on the board at 10. I know hindsight is 20/20, but those guys must be accounted for EVERY single play. Kerrigan is a good to very good player, but I don't know that he will ever be a dominant player the way those guys are.

The Redskins invest all this in RG3 it is dumb for him not to have weapons. Might as well go all in, because you are already all in. I know some want Cousins so they like the idea of undermining RG3's success.

It is also dumb not to invest in players that can protect him. I think if there is a receiver and a linemen available and they have the same grade, the Skins should always go with the linemen.
