| Shawne Merriman What do you guys think of him? He sounds like a tweener at 275 lbs, is he projected to play LB or DE in the NFL? Is he on the Skins radar with the #9 pick?? |

| Re: Shawne Merriman Unfortunately, he's not. ESPN has been screaming Rolle, Jones, or one of the receivers. The Skins radar seems very dark right now. I love Merriman. I want him... to play... you know... for us... the Redskins. Maybe they'll surprise us. |

I think he could be on our radar, and i would not be upset to draft him by any means. Id like him at #9 over any other DE by far, or a CB, either CB is good to me at 9, if we stay.

| Re: Shawne Merriman I remember reading that he's put on a LOT of muscle, sooo, I wouldn't be against it. I definitely feel we should draft WR or CB with our first pick.

| Re: Shawne Merriman Could the Redskins be considering copying New Englands Patriots very sucessful experiment of drafting a DE and moving him (then rookie DE Tedy Bruschi) to MLB. Tedy Bruschi is now a probowl player and one of the best and smartests MLB in the NFL. Maybe, but I doubt it. If they drafted Merriman it probably would be to play pass rush DE. |
