| Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing? Daddy Dale was my LEAST favorite driver of all-time. I can't say I like this move, but hey, I'll give Jr. a chance. We know he's not a road-rager like his dad. |

| Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing? No, my cousin owned a NASCAR team a few years ago and was not affiliated with the Earnhardts. Good memory though!

| Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing? He'll probably go to Childress Racing. Gibbs won't let him have BUD and Hendrick's garage is already full. |

| Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing? Visa is a major player here. They want to be a primary sponsor and supposedly are willing to shell out the big bucks to take over for Bud. That would clear the way for Jr. to go to JGR. That is the only way though. JGR is not going to accept Bud as a primary sponsor. RCR still has to be th odds on favorite. Jr. is the face of Bud right now and I can't see them letting Jr. get away. He has personal services contract with them and everything. |

| Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing? When Joe had the McDonalds drag racing teams years ago, I was working at one of the races. He had four tractor trailers for the team parked to form a large rectangle in between the rigs. In the middle was a covered cafeteria, relaxation area for drivers, crews, and VIP's. I rolled over to the entrance, whereby a security guy gave me a "move and I'll shank you" look. I cooled up, and responded "Joe here yet" ? He gave me that vacant rent-a-cop look. "he asked me to meet him here at............yeeesss, 2. "If he was not here, to make myself at home and wait, as he had not seen his favorite nephew in years". All was damn near in the bag until somebody WITH a brain calmly explained, that he thought my story was BS, and if it was, I would be making myself at home in the Houston lockup for the night. I was pissed for a while..............what the hell? I forgive you Joe! However, still not happy about that Christmas card thing........

| Re: Earnhardt to Gibbs Racing? As reported on Elliot in the Morning today, supposedly Junior had dinner with Joe Gibbs and Mr. Snyder at Dan's house in Potomac. And Visa wants to become a lead sponsor...hmmmm, could it be?
