JGR: Denny Hamlin's Pit Crew

Joe Gibbs Racing had a meetings Monday morning about Denny Hamlin's Pit Crew that keeps costing him and JGR wins this year in NASCAR.

What's up with the pretty good Pit Crew behind Denny?

They are ok at times and then drop stuff and cost him 12 spots near the end of a race.

Joe Gibbs picked a kid that is racing his Virginia, Redskin Loving @$$ off!

If you don't watch NASCA but are a Skins fan.... follow Denny Hamlin. The kid in his 2nd year is a Champion in the making.

Discuss.
lol

peace

Heck of a racer, but he has all the personality of a paper plate. Remarkably boring. He won't ever be as popular as say Tony Stewart for that reason alone

You realize SS works for ESPN in their motorsports division right?

It's ok. He has his opinion. Maybe he misunderstood what I was saying, but whatever.

I thought it was programming. Anyway, I have found that it is not wise to argue some sports toppics with SS.

Re: JGR: Denny Hamlin's Pit Crew

In constant efforts to keep Modjacking to a minimal I've brought more content actually on topic.
Quote:
JGR meets and may change personnel on Hamlin's team UPDATE: Joe Gibbs Racing officials met Monday to discuss personnel changes after a pit road mishap cost #11-Denny Hamlin a victory at Darlington Raceway. Hamlin was critical of his crew after a pair of dropped lug nuts during a late pit stop cost him the race. Hamlin, who led a race-high 179 laps, was in second when he went into the pits but plummeted to 16th after the error. Although he rallied to finish second, he was furious after Sunday's race. "If we lose by 20-30 points when it comes down to the championship, we know exactly where we lost it, and that's on pit road," said Hamlin, who could have won three or four races this season if not for mechanical problems or mistakes on pit road. I gave away Phoenix, that's my fault. But there's two to three other races that we had the best car most all day, and even at the end, and just gave it away on pit road. Today was a prime example of that." The team met Monday to see if any changes should be made to a crew that helped Hamlin to two victories and a third-place finish in the Chase for the championship during last year's rookie season.(Associated Press)(5-15-2007)

Re: JGR: Denny Hamlin's Pit Crew

He went into this Pit in the #2 position and came out 14th. ack!

Quote:
On lap 303 the #11 took advantage of yet another caution to pit and try to free up Hamlin on the initial throttle. On pit road, Hamlin certainly hoped to come out with the leaders but dropped lug nuts during the change cost the team valuable time and Hamlin lined up to restart 15th on lap 309.

Re: JGR: Denny Hamlin's Pit Crew

Well, as I said earlier he is a heck of a racer. Obviously a lock to make the Chase.
