| Re: Chicago loses Olympic bid.... I was surprised that Chicago finished last out of the cities. Of course I wanted the Olympics in the USA, but I had to chuckle at DrudgeReport's headline with regard to the Obama's failure to sway the Olympic Committee- "The Ego Has Landed." Ha.

I personally think it was a mistake for Obama to fly over there and put in his two cents. Given how ridiculously negative and partisan politics are (especially lately), he probably should have just left this one alone. Although in a few days no one will care anyway.

Rio is a cool place...you just need to roll at least 3 deep and stay away from alleyways. I'm sure they'll tighten the security even more than during Carnival (pistol toting cop stationed at every block). I'm happy for Brazil and South America.

| Re: Chicago loses Olympic bid.... Its good Chicago doesnt have to deal with the Olympics, alotta money, secruity, unneeded crap. But on the real, Rio is a Fed up city. Sure a ton of growth, but they hide their ugly side. One of the worst crime, murder and drug rates in the world. A ton of poverty and the gang violence there is suppose to worst than anything in the US.
