| NHL Allstar game -- I love it! I was reading through ESPN and noticed they're picking NHL teams kickball style. I think that is a fantastic idea. Hell, I'd love to see them do it 30 minutes before the game! I'd love to see more sports give this a go, just for fun. Players to choose teams in new NHL All-Star Game format - ESPN

| Re: NHL Allstar game -- I love it! agreed, this seems to be atleast some kind of interest/coolness to it and allstar games need all the help they can get. you gotta give the NHL credit, they dont give a damn about perserving the traditions/history of the game if they can make the sport more attractive to the new breed of hockey fans. patrick, smyth, adams divisions? this is too confusing for the casual fan, lets make it generic like the other sports and have our divisions named by region. russians/europeans players need more open space to score? lets change the rules to limit contact and increase scoring for this new type of north american hockey. tie games? really? lets make a shoot out! im a lil bitter with the way hockey has changed but i admit, from a financial and "what is best for the league to survive" stand point, they have made some necessary changes.
