| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread Frikkin' awesome games today. I flipped back and forth between Auburn-MS State and Iowa-Iowa State. The Auburn game came up a yard short of overtime. The Iowa State game was won in triple OT. Then I watched Virginia-Indiana. Indiana came back from 20 points down just to see Virginia score 11 points in the last minute for the win. Awesome. Then Michigan and Notre Dame scored three TD's in the last 1:12. Unbelievable. I know that there were other good games. These are just a sampling from my tv. Football is an amazing sport. Thank God it's autumn!

| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread I was at concert and missed the entire game. After it was over I'm in the parking lot checking the ND/Mich score and it was 24-7 late in the game. By the time we hit the Beltway Michigan was within 3 and then Denard Robinson threw an int with like 2 minutes left. I just knew that was it and the game was over so I stopped checking the score. Five minutes later, still on the road, I'm browsing the web and was ****ing stunned that Michigan had pulled it out and there were 3 TDs in less than a minute! Whoever the defensive coordinator for ND should be fired immediately. He's had two very bad weeks. |

| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread That was such a fantastic game to watch. My wife is a U of M alum, and I usually put on a brave "I'm rooting for Michigan" face when we watch them, but I generally just hope for a good game when we tune in (I suppose she's telling others the same thing about Redskins games we watch together). Three touchdowns in the last 90 seconds of play certainly did the trick. I would have been satisfied about the level of entertainment if the scoring had ended with Michigan's go-ahead 28-24 TD, but, wow, two more touchdowns after that put this one off the charts. Helluva game.

| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread You're not gonna find a better one-two punch out of the backfield than my boys Demps (fastest man in college football) and Rainey. Those guys are electric. Don't sleep on my Gators.

| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread Joe Paterno is officially senile. Hate to say it because I'm a big fan of him as a person outside of football...but after the Alabama trouncing he said "I think our QBs played a great game". He's the only person who thinks so. The QBs looked HORRRRRRRRRIBLE. He's even playing 2 QBs because according to him "they both practice hard". I think he's forgotten how to coach, or just isn't complete here mentally anymore. One of the QBs went 1/10 and Joe said he played great. The other was 11/29 with 144 yds and an INT. They burned through all 3 timeouts on their OPENING DRIVE. I have no idea how the score was only 29-11...I guess the Lions still have good LBs. Also, he slurs his speech so badly you can hardly understand him. He sounds like an old Peter Falk when he speaks. Sad to watch. ![]() State College, PA - Penn State Football: The (Galen) Hall Truth about the Lions' Offense Penn State football: Penn State football Joe Paterno Alabama Nittany Lions - mcall.com

| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread ACC may be picking up Pittsburg and Syracuse. I think its a great move and I like the ACC being proactive with all the change in the middle of the country. Heard that if Syracuse and Pittsburg are accepted, ACC wouldnt stop there and would look to add 2 more schools. Apparently 10 schools have contacted the ACC about joining over the last several weeks. Glad to see the ACC is not one of the conferences (Big 12, Big East) that is seen as weak and would easy fold or have teams move out.

| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread Sitting here watching college gameday- I feel bad for all the Mountaineer fans. So optimistic. LSU is gonna go into their backyard and stomp their behinds. My SEC is as dominant as ever. Again.

| Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread Man what's going on with Maryland today? Down 21-0 at home and it's still the first quarter. Temple just looks faster and more prepared today. Not a good showing so far, but I like the unis!
