Yeah i heard that too. Also heard the locker room is divided, like 2 sets of players hate each other. Rarely hear bout that stuff, especially with people actually talking to the media about it. Wonder what ole Fridge thinks bout it?

Not that one. Though I severely regret not watching that game now that I know what happened. No I'm talking about the game billed as the game of the century. I can not express how pathetic that game was in terms of offense. The playcalling and passing was atrocious.

yeah thats pretty bad. I just have a hard time believing Fridge was let go following a 9 win season. They were solid last year. 2 wins this year and one of those against Towson? Im not buying they are a 2 win team, program wasnt left in that type of shape.

Sidenote, nice seeing UNC get blanked by the Wolfpack. There was a ton of trash talking by the coaches in the media leading up to this game. My favorite quote was by the Wolfpack coach talking about the UNC football program:

“As far as the flagship, here is a guy who was on a football staff that ends up in Indianapolis,” O’Brien said. “If you take three things that you can’t do in college football, you have an agent on your staff, you are paying your players and you have academic fraud. That is a triple play as far as the NCAA goes.”

The Maryland AD, whose name I'm blanking on, believed they'd never be better than good under Fridge. He wanted great...so let's see if he'll get that with Edsall. Pretty ugly start so far

JFC. Wow. That's sickening. What a f'n perv. I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison gettin' raped by large guys named Bubba. How could someone in such an advantageous position use it in such a horrible manner? And shame on the other guys who apparently knew about it and did nothing. If I ever saw something so disgusting and morally wrong occuring I'd be dialing 911 within seconds.

@Dirtbag: Yeah I didn't watch too much of the "game of the century." What a defensive struggle. Only way I'd watch a game like that is if I was rooting for one of the teams.

Glad we got that crap over and wont have to watch it in the national championship.

The biggest thing i wanted to watch was it great defense or is the QB back play that bad...about even, but more the latter

I thought it was a great game because it was close, hard-fought, and the defenses looked good (I love defense). But yeah, from an offensive point of view it was, well, offensive.

I think the even bigger story is the cover up from Paterno and school administrators, who are currently charged with perjury and failing to alert the police.(paterno not included in charges)


See. I have a huge problem with Joe Paterno not being charged. He should be.

According to the statement released Saturday by Pennsylvania attorney general Linda Kelly, the grand jury found that in March 2002, a then-graduate assistant (Mike McQueary, a former Nittany Lions quarterback who is now a fulltime assistant), witnessed Sandusky sexually assaulting an underage boy in the showers in the Lasch Football Building. According to Kelly, the graduate assistant went to Paterno's home "to explain what he had seen."

"As my grand jury testimony stated," Joe Paterno said in the statement, "I was informed in 2002 by an assistant coach that he had witnessed an incident in the shower of our locker room facility. It was obvious that the witness was distraught over what he saw, but he at no time related to me the very specific actions contained in the Grand Jury report. Regardless, it was clear that the witness saw something inappropriate involving Mr. Sandusky. As Coach Sandusky was retired from our coaching staff at that time, I referred the matter to university administrators."

He's basically saying he knew and yet did nothing. Didn't notify the cops or even follow up on this. Yes he should be charged just like those other clowns. The fact that Penn State is paying for their lawyer fees is laughable as well.

This happened at the ECU game this weekend. It was hilarious. It was the only person on the field that day that showed some balls. The Pirates surely didn't. Southern Miss had 21 points on the board with only 7 yards on offense to show for it. Four TDs they had came on non-offensive plays. (2ints, 1 PR, 1 blocked punt)
