| Re: Sell ME a car I'd recommend the lowest mileage Honda/Acura/ Toyota you can get for under $10k. It will more than likely be a Civic or Corolla. If you want to spend less, try to find one with low 100k that has recently had a timing belt replaced. You should be able to pick one up for 5k-7.5k. Look for later years of a generation run, too. Like a 2000-2000 Accord, 1998-2000 Civic, 1998-2000 Camry. First or second year cars of a styling generation generally have more bugs than the newer years. They get the bugs worked out just in time to release a new, buggier version! While saying this, I have a first year Honda Civic. It's a 2001 that I bought brand new. I have put 125k miles on it in 5 years and have done nothing but change the oil, put on new brakes, 2 new sets of tires, and replace the timing belt at 110k. No problems at all for me.
