| fck shitty sequels I have been inspired by our conversations about x-men3 to speak about shitty sequels, triloges, and other types of extentions that have plagued our great nation. Matrix 2 and 3, X-men 3, Star Wars episode 1-3, Scary Movie sequels(doesnt really count but whatever), Charles' Angels 2(worst movie ever), etc. Beside Star Wars Episode 5 and 6, and the LOTR trilogy, cant really think of any great ones. This thread is for us to voice our grievences about this issue.

| Re: fck shitty sequels The Godfather II,Terminator 2, and Aliens were really good, IMO, and there are a couple of other sequals that I like. For the most part though, movie studios just need to know when to let go! It seems like every decent movie now has to become a franchise instead of just a good stand alone movie. F the Jaws sequels. They forever taint the memory of one of my favorite movies.

I think it counts though since it was like the 5th batman movie and the 3rd and 4th ones were both god awful.

| Re: fck shitty sequels rush hour 2 is awesome. I like MI2 more than MI 1, though i haven't seen either for a while. The austin power sequels were really good. I liked spiderman 2 more than 1.

| Re: fck shitty sequels The Ring 2 pretty much sucked. Now that I think about it, it ripped off the Omen pretty bad. There is a scene where they're in a car that gets attacked by all the elk; it would have been kind of cool if they didn't look so ridiculously fake.

I still think the worst sequel ever has got to be The Fast and the Furious, or as I like to call it, Point Break 2:the reckoning. The script was bascially just changed so that instead of surfing they were street racing and instead of the robbers knocking over banks they were stealing trucks. Other than that the movies were almost identical.
