| Re: no sound from computer If you let us know the model, I'll find the driver and put a link directly on here so you can try reinstalling the driver. Freezes after bootup sound pretty bad, specifically if your sound card is onboard. I'm thinking maybe motherboard issues.

| Re: no sound from computer I'm throwing in the towel and calling a local computer repair guy today. Usually I can handle minor issues but this is obviously getting out of control. |

| Re: no sound from computer OK, one more thing. Look on the back of it and see if where you plug the sound card is like built into the motherboard or if it's in one of those slots more towards the bottom of the tower.

| Re: no sound from computer http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R91928.EXE OK, install that and see if the yellow question mark goes away. It sounds like you have a PCI Sound Blaster installed.
