| Netflix? Anybody use one of these online DVD rental services? Just wondering who's got the best service. Doesn't Blockbuster have an online service now? |

| Re: Netflix? Yup, I use it and they come quick, watch them (or "archive them") and send them back the next day.

| Re: Netflix? I was a customer of both at one time. Here is my review. Netflix - Once you join up they are awsome as far as getting movies in a timely fashion, but after about 2 months there movies are super slow in the mail. For example I could get a movie on Monday send it back to them tuesday and have another movie by friday, Awsome!! Then after like 2 months. If I received a movie on monday and sent it back on tuesday, I would not get my next movie until like the following thursday. So it went from getting my movie in approx 3 days went to getting my movie in approx. 9 days. I have mention that my closest netflix distribution center was in Pittsburgh which is approx. 3hrs away. Even still I couldnt understand why all of a sudden they started to take longer and longer in the mail. So I quit. Blockbuster - I liked blockbuster but left them because everyother movie either would not play or was severly damaged. They always sent out a replacement right away but it took evern longer then to get your movie because the DVD was crap. But if you have a blockbuster in your town then I would join that because you get free in-store movie rentals with your on-line subscription, which is cool. Also they will e-mail you cupons for in-store use also. Some cupons are like buy one previously viewed movie get one free, or for like $5. In conclusion, I would go with blockbuster if I had one closer than an hour drive away...

| Re: Netflix? I've also used both. I agree with what 8588 says. Netflix "throttles" high volume users. Blockbuster has gotten better with the disc quality. Netflix has better selection and larger quantity instock. also consider GreenCine | main member - Video-On-Demand, Buy and Rent DVDs If you like hard to find movies( foreign, artsy, or just stupid movies in general). If I had to go back, I would choose blockbuster because they give you free instore rentals every month. |

| Re: Netflix? I use Netflix and love the selection and speed that my dvds get delivered. I recieve and watch generally around 20 dvds or so a month so I get my moneys worth out of it. I mainly it use it for new releases, anime, tv boxsets, and hard to find dvds and Netflix has a huge selection for all of those. the only negative I've had thus far is a couple times I've had them skip anywhere between 50 to 100 dvds in my que and send me a dvd that's in the middle of the set and I've only had one dvd not work thus far, knock on wood.

| Re: Netflix? Netflix is the shizz... they've got a much larger selection than Blockbuster (BB has some kind of ethics clause... if there is a non-rated version of a Rated R movie, Netflix will probably have it). I had to complain to Netflix b/c of their throttling practices several times and when you do it enough, they straighten you out. But there's no such thing as "unlimited rentals" in any of the delivery systems- they do have some kind of secret limit they give per month, depending on which plan you have. |

| Re: Netflix? I used Blockbuster for a while, and loved it because the coupons almost offset the monthly fee. In the end, I wasn't using it enough (or was receiving bad discs) and quit.

| Re: Netflix? I currently have Netflix, and it's great. The area distribution center is a stone's throw from my house, so I send one in on Monday and have a new one on Wednesday. I have 2 at a time "unlimited", and it's been great. I don't use it as often as I'd like, but I have yet to have any kind of problems with it.
