If it had to start a business for the better of society: I would start a Pinon Factory provide the world with new mexicos best pinon nuts. When is pinon season again? | Re: If you could start any business, what would you start? A little teaching business showing people a few little things they can do to manage their monthly budget a bit better. Too many people go into credit card debt and stuff like that. All I'd have to do is show them a few little things and they'd be like Jesus H Christ why haven't I been doing that all along?? Debt management is an epidemic in this country. |

Ya know, make them hold more power, last longer, etc. Then, I'd start moving into solar energy and collect as much energy to store in my batteries as possible. I'd try to improve the efficiency of solar collection. The goal would be to provide the cleanest and most abundant energy source ever.

| Re: If you could start any business, what would you start? I'd add on to saden's idea and also be a brewmaster. A brewmaster and a chemist. Finding a beer to produce the same buzz with none of the drunk after-effects.

For my magic business I would copy off some Japanese place that I once saw on TV. For an hourly rate you get to go in a room full of furniture and just destroy everything. Basically, it's like hitting a pillow to get rid of stress, only on a much bigger scale. I think I would need to watch most Skins games in a room like that.

A few years ago a friend and I started a company that filmed local high school football and basketball games then edited them down and posted them online as well as made DVDs to send to different colleges. It was useful for second tier players looking for that extra push to get a scholarship, and for coaches who didn't have the time to travel to see these players. They could just request the DVD or sign on to the website and watch the player. Unfortunately, some shady dealings by the high schools we dealt with left us broke and out of business. Plus my friend didn't really treat it as a business. With the right business model it could work. It was also strange to deal with some of these college coaches, because these days they want to recruit younger and younger. It's creepy when Seth Greenberg calls you and says he heard about this 11-year old in Maryland, would I mind going to his game Friday night and videotaping him. It made me feel like the bicycle shop dude from Diff'rent Strokes.

| Re: If you could start any business, what would you start? A traveling library for kids. Big trailers that would go to lower income neighborhoods on weekends and kids coud walk into the trailer and sit and read some books and do activities.
