| Petals Around the Rose The game is called Petals Around the Rose. The answer is always an even number. How long will it take you to solve it? It took Bill Gates 90 minutes. I took me about half an hour. Lloyd Borrett - Computing - Petals - Bill Gates plays Petals Around the Rose No Cheating. Link to dice rolling sim. | Re: Petals Around the Rose I remember when somebody told me about this for the first time and at first I was like what the freak type of bs math is this. You just have to think outside of the box and it's easy to figure out. My friend timed me at around 1 minute and 10 seconds when he told me about this right before the last time I moved. and it's kewl as hell showing this to people and them coming up with super complex theories and whatnot when it's actually overly simple.

| Re: Petals Around the Rose the score is always zero or even. it's NEVER odd. about 2 minutes... i got them 75% of the time after the first 20 seconds though.

| Re: Petals Around the Rose I spent about five minutes on it early this afternoon when the thread started then came back to it for about 15 minutes before I got it. So I guess it took me about 20 minutes total. I couldn't escape the "complex math" thought process until I read the article in it's entirety.

| Re: Petals Around the Rose Yeah, I registered. But, the registration process consists of submitting a post on a thread -- no qualification process. What a crock. I'm member #8050. Woot!

| Re: Petals Around the Rose I got it. It took about 10-15 minutes for me to figure it out. It's a lot simpler than I thought it would be.

| Re: Petals Around the Rose I got lucky and went way abstract and simple form the articles hints and figured it out in about 10 mins. I would call it luck, not brains nor skill

| Re: Petals Around the Rose Wow, I was getting pissed that I couldn't figure it out, then it hit me all of sudden. It took about 10 minutes to get, but I finally got it. It's so simple it hurts.

| Re: Petals Around the Rose this is the second time I visited and looked at it. I stopped doing all of the thinking of the numbers and concentrated on the wording. the roll with 2 all of a sudden gave it away... good puzzle... had me pretty pissed off for a while, though... I love those things...
