| Jimmy Buffett Well, another year of trying to get tickets to see Buffett at his annual DC show. And another year where I am grasping at air instead of lawn tickets... What pisses me off is those who buy 6 lawn tickets for $36 a piece and turn around and sell them for a huge profit. I mean, the tickets went on sale at 10am, and it's 10:25 and there are already several auctions for tickets...damnit. I wanted to get drunk on coronas and strong margaritas and watch Buffett play. Ah well. I'll just do what I do every year...have a Buffett party that night at the house, with the concert on Sirius, and coronas and strong margaritas sitting in my backyard.

| Re: Jimmy Buffett Does he have a fanclub you can join? Bands nowadays typically offer their fanclub members first shot at tickets before they go on sale to the public. I've gotten great seats that way with bands like Pearl Jam, DMB, 311, etc. |

| Re: Jimmy Buffett yeah, you can see why it sells out so quickly...scalpers buy up tickets because the loyal fans are willing to pay 100+ a ticket for a lawn seat. i try every year, and if i dont get them, i usually have a small party and play the concert on Radio Margaritaville.

| Re: Jimmy Buffett Getting Buffet tickets is all about knowing people. You gotta find yourself a hookup. I never have had problems but I always buy them through a guy. He doesn't gouge either. |

| Re: Jimmy Buffett I have had luck in the past and have been to three of his concerts. We had a tick master which most people did not know was there and we would be in line with only 20 to 30 people. We would buy 6 tickets each and there would be 4 to 6 of us and then sell them to our friends. we would give two tickets to a guy who owned a bar and he would close for a couple of hours and we would have a Buffett party and them board a rented bus and head out. Hw quit coming because our local amp. theater made them cut down the music so that was the end of that. |

| Re: Jimmy Buffett One other thing next time find a place selling tickets which is far away from the concert. You may have to drive a few hours away but you should find that there won't be the long lines. Thats what we did the first time. Look up there locations and call to see if they get long lines for his concerts and go to the one which does not. If you have never seen him its worth the time to get them. Its was the only concert where they did not care if people drank in the parking lot. |

| Re: Jimmy Buffett Yeah, I've been to one, back in '99 and it was a frickin' blast. Been tryin' to get back ever since... Matty - There's Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc., the official Fan Club. However, in order to belong, you have to belong to one of the local chapters.

| Re: Jimmy Buffett I have been to a few Jimmy Buffet concerts. There’s nothing better then skateboarding around the parking lot with a few friends before the concert. Partying with all the drunk tailgaters and people in there motor homes. The tequila shots and margaritas are flowing like its spring break in Mexico. Parrot heads go all out, paper mashie sharks on top of there cars and shit, tiki bars every where. One year these guys brought a few truck loads of sand and made a beach valley ball court in the parking lot with fake palm trees holding up the net. The only problem was the sand barley covered the asphalt so all the drunks trying to play where pretty much falling onto the hard asphalt scraping there knees and stubbing there toes. It was pretty funny. Parrot heads can really get into the festivities that for sure. Goods times.

| Re: Jimmy Buffett If you noticed no one has said anything about how good the concert was only how fun it is to tail gate and stuff. why not just go hang out and tail gate and maybe stumble into a few tics. If not nothing lost. |
