XBOX 360 Problems

So I just got my 360 on Sunday Aug 26 and already when I play madden for more then one game it starts screwing up, Like if I'm the Skins the red from the stadium starts growing into these huge blobs and then the system freezes. I'm hoping to exchange it Monday since I'll be out of thown all weekend. that has to be the system overheating or something right, wouldn't anything with the game? This has really soured my enjoyment of the 360 not even a week in! hopefully they let me buy the extended coverage on the exchange.

did you at any poiny pick up the 360 and hear a grinding sound while you are playing?

I believe it made that sound when it would freeze

when it makes that sound you must immediately turn the game off because the disc is being stratched up when that happens.

yeah I shut it off as soon as it froze but there's no marks on the disc,
Is the disc drive bad then? Either way I'm exchanging that shit

either the drive or look dep into the disc do u see a ring around it.

I'm at work right now, so can't look so the disc can cause that? hmm... maybe I need to exchange both just to be safe, I don't have any other games to test either.

It's weird though it usually happens after one game or an hour of play

Figures I finally break down and get one and I get one of the Turds. LAME
I think I'll try swapping the madden disc first and then if it happens again, exchange the system to, thanks for the help Quake I knew the Xbox had alot of problems but I didn't expect to see them a week after getting it.

Could be just a bad disc.

If the drive is making a grinding noise, that has to be a hardware issue. Gates needs to whip his sweatshop workers into shape!

see thats the issue I don't have anymore gaes to test it out seeing as I just got it, but then when I was playing a demo of Amped last night the graphics kinda wigged out to and thats on the hard drive, So I'm thinking I need to exchange both just to be safe since they are so new.

yeah I remember seeing that thread, but thats half the reason I hadnt got one til now figured the things woulda been fixed by now apparently I was wrong
