| What do you do to calm down after a loss? I like to drive. I will drive around town for about an hour or so. What do you do? |

| Re: What do you do to calm down after a loss? I log on to RedskinsWarpath.com and get annoyed by the ignorant, "world is ending" idiocy that permeates throughout this site after a loss. It calms me down when I realize that worse than having my favorite team lose, is the inability to have any rational thought and panic like a meteor is about to strike.

A sane person calms down fairly quickly when they put it in the perspective.

| Re: What do you do to calm down after a loss? Same here, except my 1-year old can't say much back other than Da-Dee. But that's definitely enough to put the loss out of my mind.

| Re: What do you do to calm down after a loss? Kinda like 742--try to put it in a more global perspective. Than I watch Gibbs presser--that helps calm me down for some reason. And the Warpath helps, if only to realize that there are others "suffering" as much as me over this, and some have gone completely nuts! ![]() Watching the cowboys lose helps too--oh, wait. Dang.

| Re: What do you do to calm down after a loss? If it's a 1pm game, as soon as the final whistle blows, the remote is off and running to find the next game on. If it's a 4pm game, I'll flip around til 8pm, and watch FOX for the Simpsons, Family Guy, etc. If I'm at the game, I get back to the car, break out a chair and have a beer. I'm pissed off for about 30 seconds after a loss, then I calm down and move on. Can't change what happens, just have to deal and move on.

| Re: What do you do to calm down after a loss? I don't do anything because I don't get all fired up after a loss. It's a game, and it's a game that we as fans have ZERO control over. I have a hard time getting annoyed over something I can't control. Am I disappointed initially? Sure. But I don't feel the need to punch walls or get drunk, or post like an idiot on the boards calling for everyone's head. |

| Re: What do you do to calm down after a loss? The hard part about being a fan is realizing that the team has ups and downs. We have a tendency to do things like look at the first two weeks and observe solid play by us, and crappy defense by the Giants, and logically conclude that we should kick the crap out of them and run up the score. Then when that doesn't happen, people get all f'd in the head. Sometimes your team just has a bad day. Sometimes the other team just has a good day. The best solace you can take is to resist that urge to go projecting the bad day you just saw onto the remaining 13 games. In other words, just because we played that way this time doesn't mean we'll play bad next game. You can analyze all you want, but sometimes teams step up and sometimes they take steps back. Remember Oakland in 2005? Not long after we reeled off 5 straight wins to make the playoffs. You never know when your boys will bounce back, so stay cool, because chances are they will.
