It's great stuff but definitely a sipper. I like how the flavors change as it warms up. | |

| Re: Let's talk microbrews Anybody has anything new that is good in Pale Ales lately? I had a couple forgetables in the IPAs lately. The market is so flooded. Had to reach back for an old favorite recently : Lagunitas IPA - Lagunitas Brewing Company - Petaluma, CA - BeerAdvocate When it comes to big flavor with decent balance Lagunitas does their beers right.

I've started kegging my own beer now, and i gotta tell ya. It's the way to go. I just find a beer I love... look up the clone recipe- then tweak it myself. Boom- you've got an amazing beer.

I was out in Denver earlier this year and was asking about good micro-brews to tour in Denver. They suggested New Belgian, Great Divide, etc. Then they said something along the lines of, "yeah some corncob town out in Maryland stole Flying Dog from us." -Gotta love my hometown. Atlantic Lager is a perfect BBQ beer. Easy to drink, low ABV... has a nice flavor to it. Raging bitch is there best seller I think.

| Re: Let's talk microbrews If you get a chance, try one of Lagunitas' wet hopped beers. They essentially add freshly picked hops to the beer as opposed to the traditional dried out variety. Hops are super prone to spoiling if they aren't immediately dried out, so they literally wait until the hops are on the truck straight from the farm and time the brew process to coincide perfectly with the delivery. Next time I'm out in California I've got to check them out.

| Re: Let's talk microbrews @RobH4413 - Yessir, been on the tour a few times. I live right around the corner from the brewery. First time, my daughter was 6 months old and she and my wife accompanied me for my birthday. Had 2 stouts recently that were quite tasty. Lancaster Brewing Milk Stout Southern Tier 2X Stout Prefer the Southern Tier one, but both were very tasty.

| Re: Let's talk microbrews Had another stout that blew my socks off, and will blows yours off too if you're not careful. Kujo Imperial Coffee Stout | Flying Dog Brewery Quite tasty and at 8.9% ABV, it packs quite a punch.
