| International Travel I am leaving tomorrow at 8:30 to go to Austria for work puropses, my question is this, I have a titanium plate bolted to my femur, will the metal detector pick that up? I went to a court room and had to walk through one there and it did not go off. Are the ones at airports stronger? Any insite would be much appreciated...

| Re: International Travel Simply tell the TAS people that you have a titanium plate in your foot before being screened. Also, if you have any medical record regarding the plate take it with you just in case they hassle you.

| Re: International Travel I'm going to Thailand in 5 days. I don't have a metal plate but I figured it would be OK to mention this, given the thread title. |
