McCain not knowing how many homes he owns is not a big deal. Dude is loaded and his wife takes care of everything. What is a problem is him labeling Obama with the elitist tag and all the arugula talk.

"I don't know uhhhh maybe a hundred years" - John McCain on when we'll complete the war in Iraq without "Surrending".

Great plan John!

i don't think anyone has ever used the word surrender. and i could give a rats ass about immigration. it seems like McCain's big energy plan is to offer a bounty for coming up with a new battery, and the gas tax holiday, which to me is a joke. are we in agreement that drilling isn't the answer. or maybe just short term? the change i look for is just a different way of doing things in Washington. not just the old status quo. a new face, with hopefully new ideas.

Def nutso. I don't get why so many people see just the potential evil in others. I can disagree with people and not think they're bad. I disagree with a lot of what Obama believes but I'd drink a beer with the guy and talk basketball in a heart beat because he seems like a nice guy. Same with Bush.

Bill Clinton? Maybe but he's been a big dick for a while now. McCain? probably. Joe Biden? Not so much. He seems like a dick to me. Same with Cheney.

At the end of the day though whether I will vote someone has nothing to do with whether I like them on a personal note. Why anyone thinks Obama is some closet Muslim out to "get us" is beyond me and I wish those who tracked more with me politically would denounce that crap and talk about ideas.

F.D.R. followed Hoover - Certainly a great President and maybe the only other one in the same class as Lincoln and Washington.

If either McCain or Obama is the next Lincoln, F.D.R. or even Coolidge, I will: 1) Sit in the upper deck of the Linc in full Redskins attire shouting "Eagles suck"; and 2) discount all evidence of global warming as Hell most assuredly had frozen over.
Sorry, guess I misunderstood the original post. Damn my Republican ignorance!!!

I thought this was about a worse President at any point, not just the next President.

So Buster after 22 nationally televised debates, countless interviews, two books authored by the candidate, a website with a litany of specific details on energy, the economy, healthcare, woman's reproductive health care rights, education and college tuition, benefits for our veterans, and yes, foreign policy. You mean to tell me that you don't have one iota of what Obama is talking about?

By the way, in terms of exiting Iraq, it looks like the time table is somewhere around 2011.

Of course, if you put Bush in the class of Hoover, Buchanan and Harding - We're looking damn good for '08.

Ha...listening to Obama's nonsense and misquotes I see.

His "100 years" was in reference to how long we'd have troop presence there. We still have troops stationed in Japan, Germany, Korean border, Central America everywhere we've fought from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam...etc. Examining history, he's most likely right.

No one is picketing and demanding withdrawl from those places? Why not? Because President Bush wasn't in charge of those conflicts. Too many people, especially the anti-war crowd lets there blind and immature hatred for the President overshadow common sense, history and current events. If it is tied to President Bush, they automatically hate the idea.

Open a book and learn some history. Oh, and stay engaged with the current events.

He consistently changes his positions on a weekly basis...so no. Most people do not know what he stands for (currently).

The majority of his short time in the Senate consisted of voting "present" so he wouldn't have to take a stand.

His "glorious" speeches are like sermons, speaking in platitudes of "hope" and "change".

He refused to debate Clinton late in the primaries and is limiting his debates with McCain to only 3. Why? Probably because he's a horrible speaker without a teleprompter. He's a talented speech reader, but stutters and rambles until an idea arises in debates and interviews.

Barack Obama's policy switches are giving the Left whiplash

The Democratic nominee's policy pivots are causing anguish among liberals. He is no fool -

Barack Obama's policy switches are giving the Left whiplash | Gerard Baker - Times Online

An example of one of his many lies:

Townhall.com - Printer Friendly

Quote:
Sen. Barack Obama is reaching out to new sources, including Washington insiders whose influence he has vowed to end. Obama is now using lists of contributors to Democratic congressional chairmen, primarily lobbyists of both parties.
From Obama's own website: Barack Obama | Change We Can Believe In | Ethics
Quote:
A High Standard: Unlike other candidates Obama's campaign refuses to accept contributions from Washington lobbyists and political action committees.

Speaking of his website, it was reported before some debates that he removed and/or changed many issues that may have caused criticism.

He's not a revolutionary candidate. He's more of the same, possibly a worse than usual politician.

Being the socialist he is, he's probably planning on splitting up some of the larger states like Texas so that land is distributed more evenly!
