| Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz Ontheissues.org has a great system for giving prospective voters a look into the political views of canidates. On top of that you can take the quiz yourself and see not only your political views but what politicians you would be likely to support based on their voting records. You can take the quiz here: VoteMatch Quiz Anyway it's kind of funny being called a liberal but based on the results I guess that's in part where my political views fall on the great chart. Personally I think it would be cool to see what other people got on the quiz so if you're willing just copy the chart and paste it on the thread. Also make sure you click on the topics to make sure you know what it means to support or oppose a topic. Some of them can be a little tricky and in turn you might click on an option that doesn't reflect your actual view. For example I clicked "support" for Replace US troops with UN in Iraq even though oppose (my actual view based on the explanation) meant that I believed the US should stay out of foreign affairs as much as possible in the same manner advised by the founding fathers.

| Re: Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz I think you've got the wrong quiz linked. I love that site, and it says I'm a Centrist. Though I have taken it before and been classified as a Moderate Conservative.

| Re: Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz Your Score You scored the following on the PoliticsMatch questions: Personal Score 68% Economic Score 22% Where You Fit In Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy. Based on the above score, you are a Populist-Leaning Liberal . ![]() A problem with this system is that most scores come from "stongly support" or "strongly oppose", and the areas which make me conservative are areas which I "support". That isn't factored, at least based on what I see. It makes me seem much more liberal than I actually am.

By taking the default options with "no opinion" selected for everything I got a personal score of 50% and an economic score of 51%. Afterwards I selected "strongly support" on 'absolute right to gun ownership. That did nothing for the personal score but it did increase the economic score to 55%. I suggest if you feel somethings off, take the quiz a few times and make sure the results are at least similar (technically this is a sampling technique meant to increase reliability). I usually score somewhere near the liberal liberterian corner. Also I found out that I wasn't scoring some of the issues properly so if you're unsure about something check out the hyperlink of the issue when you're taking the quiz to make sure you know what Strongly support, support, oppose, and strongly oppose actually mean within the context of the question.

| Re: Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz One of my favorite websites as well. I'm a moderate conservative based on the quiz. Which is fine and correct because I consider myself a bit to the right of the middle.

| Re: Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz ![]() And the highest president I scored was a 30% on Obama, which classified him as "not for me". John McCain was at 28%, same story. Sounds about right. There's never, ever a moderate candidate.

| Re: Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz One of the things I found ironic was the fact that I was having trouble deciding who to vote for and in turn Ontheissues.org rated my compatibility with Obama and McCain at 25%. John McCain - Total 25% Social19% Economic29% Barack Obama- Total 25% Social38% Economic17% Also I have found Saden's actual quiz results. ![]() I knew you were an imposter all along

| Re: Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz centrist... i'm like, on the middle e of moderate. I think i should probably be up a little above it, but whatever. I matched two profiles at 65% (bill richardson NM dem gov (81 social 50 econ), and lieberman (sp?) sen dem 88 soc 48 econ) and no one else above 50%... 48% obama, 40% mccain/biden, worst match was elizabeth dole at 23%.

| Re: Ontheissues.org VoteMatch Quiz Here ya go. Not a big fan of these, in that it blends things in an odd way. On specific questions, I'm liberal, on others, I'm conservative. But whatever: it came out about how I'd predict, so maybe I'm being persnickity.
