If you want to save the world or make it a better place that's just fine. I applaude you and you're big heart. Please use your own money and labor, and don't be so lazy to have a politician do it for you. I'm struggling to keep my job and don't make a lot of money. I've a right to keep what I earn.

Your honesty is much appreciated. I've long decided this is a basic sentiment in the conservative movement that constantly uses controversial issues in a bait and switch game that inevitably leads to lower taxes/higher subsidies for the rich and powerful.

... to that point anybody who believes abortion is a real issue for the leaders of the Republican party just reveals their own ignorance. Read Paul Weyrich's (top conservative activist originally from CO who started several of the radical conservative think-tanks in DC) discussions of Green vs Connelly and Roe. This bulwark of the movement openly admits the brass of the party machinery could care less about abortion, which became an afterthought in the platform. (BTW shouldn't we be a little suspicious that in thirty plus years of control of the White House, Congress and sometimes both no Republican pres has ever proposed the constitutional ban? Reagan actually promised this prior to his election but quickly forgot afterward.) It was Green v Connelly that inspired the conservative movement since the 1970's, especially for the religious right. Actually a fascinating case for any of you history nerds.

I could give hoot about a Republican. George Bush and his father ruined the Republican party. They played lip sevice to the conservatives and libertarians. The religious people who used to vote Republican got lip sevice about abortion.

If you want to ban abortion or legalize it have the balls to pass it into law. The Supreme Court shouldn't twist legislation to make it say something it doesn't. Unlawful Search and Seizure means that the police need a warrant, (that's signed by a judge), to enter my property and root throught my personal effects. If you want reproductive law, write it and pass it. That's legal.

I'm not playing the victim. Everytime they take out money from my paycheck to fund BS pyramid schemes like social security it is robbery.

The rich and powerful own the business that I work for. They own what's left of our manufacturing base. They also grow the food I eat. I don't know about y'all but I've never been employed by a pauper. Class warfare doesn't work on me.

All I'm saying is what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If I can't steal millions of dollars than neither should Bernie Maydoff. I can't print money in my basement, but the privately owned Federal Reserve prints it like it's going out of style. If I don't pay taxes I go to jail. A conservative doesn't rule that eminent domain means you can seize people's property to build a Super Walmart. A conservative doesn't go to war without a legal declartion from Congress. A conservative doesn't steal my money and give it to people in Africa with AIDS. I don't want to see people drop dead. No matter how rabid I seem, I don't want people to suffer. The point is that it's not my business. Nor is it the business of our government. Their business is to make sure we don't drop dead.
A conservative doesn't have military bases all over the globe. A conservative minds his own GD business and makes sure that the American public doesn't get steam-rolled. A conservative doesn't let Depression Era legislation that stops the banks, insurance, and credit industries from merging get repealed. A conservative doesn't let our manufacturing get shipped overseas. A conservative doesn't import all of our consumer products from Communist sweat-shops. A conservative doesn't let narco terrorists and God knows who else (Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Al Qaida) stream across our borders. A conservative doesn't create more government, upon more government, upon more government. A conservative doesn't throw terrorist in a nicer installation that our own criminals get without charges. He tries them in a military court and has them shot by a firing squad if found guilty of sabotage. A conservative doesn't nominate one of his advisors to be a Supreme Court Justice. A conservative doesn't go along with a President just because he calls himself a conservative and he's a member of the same party. Conservatives don't go along with Keynesian economics.

Radical Right? There hasn't been too many right wingers in power since Reagan left office and even he wasn't that conservative.

If you think of conservatives as religious zealots who think that every word in the Bible is true, you'd probably believe that they're prevalent in government because of all of the lip service that goes out. They're not.

Elections have consequences? How is that? What is the difference between an old liberal glue-horse and a young junior socialist? It isn't much if you ask me. That's like giving me a glass of Coke and Pepsi then telling me that I'll have to live with the consequences if I don't drink one or the other.

I like my conservative libertarian philosophy like my bourbon: strong, well aged, and not watered down.

All right kidding aside, I think a lot of us have mixed views on abortion. (Personally I believe that it shouldn't take place after the first trimester). I don't think it's the worst thing in the world to fight but if conservatives are going to fight abortion then the least you can do is stop fighting stuff like proper sex education and the morning after pill AKA the "abortion" pill.

I mean for God's sake there was a point in my life where it was easier to get morphine and oxycodone (legally mind you) then the "abortion" pill. Which if any of the people who called it that knew how the.......frank it worked then you would have less unwanted pregnancies and therefore less abortions, but no lets teach the kids abstinence. Then when they go behind your back and spend 15 minutes trying to learn how to put on a condom only to say f**k it, well then we'll know who to blame.

For those who don't know how it works, well the morning after pill is basically a large dose of hormones (proven safe mind you) which in laymen terms close off access to the egg before the sperm can reach it. So for anyone who thinks that life begins at conception, well you're in luck, because the fact remains that the morning after pill basically becomes useless once a sperm reaches the egg. In fact a pregnant women could take the morning after pill and no matter what she would still be pregnant.

However neocon's keep fighting simple solutions to problems like this without even researching what they're talking about. Then they wonder why people normal rational people won't vote for them despite the fact that they get to keep more of their money (or at least in theory they do). Now why the Democrats felt the need to hide a sex education or contraception program within a stimulus I'll never know. Either way things seem to be going downhill just as fast now as they were before. But it's all right now because as the Joker said in Dark Knight "it's all part of the plan" and right now Obama keeps on telling us it's going to get worse before it gets better. I guess I've lost sight of what I set out to say or maybe my "speech" didn't leave room for a gracious exit so for now I'll just defer and take a seat.
