Seeing how so many members of Congress are under investigation right now I don't think they need to point fingers. This seems like cowardice to me. If they had a beef then they should've done it while he was in office. Those members who want to investigate Bush are the same jerks who voted to go to war in Iraq. Now that he's gone they want an investigation? They need to worry about now and not then.

Bush lied to Congress about the evidence in Iraq. I used to work for Senator Carper in Delaware and he said that Bush showed the people in Congress evidence that didn't exist.

I'm sorry that I disappointed you with reality. I just figured that the people on Wall Street would have been ready for some "hope" and "change" the day after the big O took office. That's right, people with money are ready to open up their pockets and "sperad the wealth" to help this economy boom for a President and a Congress who are so eager to put up obstacles to prevent them from being wealthy.

Too bad our economy isn't reliant on the sales of Obama t-shirts, and other shwag with his likeness. Because that crap is making a killing.

If you worked for Senator Carper then why didn't you do more research for him? I mean there's the Senate Intelligence, The State Department, The CIA, The Joint Chiefs, Naval Intel, the NSA, and countless other ABC departments.
Don't tell me Bush had all of those agencies in lock step with him when people like Collin Powell said it was a bad idea.
What about Bidden and Hillary? Don't tell me they were bamboozled into a war. All that hog-wash about being fooled into a war doesn't work for me. Actually if your stupid enough to get fooled into a war you don't need to be on Capitol Hill.
That may work for Joe on the street. He isn't privy to the same intelligence that Biden is and doesn't hear the same things Hillary does.
Those catch phrases may work on a college campus but not everyone easily subscribes to, Bush Lied and People Died, Compassionate Conservatism, or Shovel Ready. There are plenty of farms here in Varina with cow dung that are shovel ready. Can we get 120 mil? Go tell a vet missing a leg, gee I'm so sorry but that dastardly Bush lied to me. So what if he did? That just make you a sucker.
The point is that the Democrats played politics with the lives of our soldiers. If they had stuck to their principles then they would've voted no. Ron Paul did why couldn't they?

Who ever said Bush was my man? Bush was a liberal. If he had a D next to his name you'd have said he was the best thing since sliced bread. If you want to spout of some sound bites then go ahead. They don't stand up with simple logic. At least Saden backs his stuff up with facts. You should be happy about Bush. If we hadn't had W there wouldn't be an Obama.

the funny thing about the war is that in the end we have seemingly brought stability with elections. Violence is down and we will have the troops home, unless they go to pakistan/afghanistan.

Then that's it, case closed. A career Democratic politician says that "Bush lied about Iraq". Bush must be a liar then. How convenient for Carper to make this claim, when public opionion pols swayed against the war. This just emphasizes the point of Democrats politicizing the war, rather than staying behind the President to get Iraq 100% stabilized so we don't wind up with another post-USSR Afghanistan, or worse a super-Iran.

Sen. Carper voted for the use of force against Iraq back in 2002 and has been fairly consistent in his voting patterns with most main stream Dems, funding the troops, but bashing Bush along the way.

Keep in mind that a majority of Democrats, including those on the Intel committee supported the war. The "lies" Bush put out were delivered by Colin Powell. Is he now a liar too. Bottom line is there was bad analysis of intel from the CIA, which was headed by a Clinton hold-over. Bush didn't lie.

So Bush's legacy hinges on Iraq, which is an unmitigated disaster. Instead of being forgiven, like Polk and McKinley, for his phony pretext for war (WMD and al-Qaeda operatives in Baghdad), he stands to be lambasted by future scholars. What once were his two best sound bites -- "Wanted dead or alive" and "Mission accomplished" -- will be used like billy clubs to shatter his legacy every time it gets a revisionist lift. The left will keep battering him for warmongering while the right will remember its outrage that he didn't send enough battalions to Iraq.
