| Finally I was thinking it was my lucky day. My favorite everyday beer in colors that remind me of the days before things changed, before the 9-5er. At first I thought it just had to be a coincidence, maybe a throwback can that just happens to be in VCU colors, then I got a text message from a friend who was as elated as I was even before the first drop of time honored brewing tradition hit my lips. School colored spirits to induce school spirit, who knew. Welcome Class of 2013…. Drunk on school spirit? | Richmond BizSense

| Re: Finally Randolph-Macon and Highland Springs will have the same can colors as the Steelers. I don't know who can drink more beer though, probably Varina. Bud light is piss anyway. Legends rules!

| Re: Finally Maybe it's just me, but am I the only person who drinks just to get drunk? While I do enjoy the flavor of certain beers and I DO enjoy drinking more flavorful brews to get drunk, if I want something that tastes good I'm going to have a soda or something. Not that I dislike the taste of beer, but there are far better things out there to drink if I'm going to be drinking just for flavor. For me, the whole point of drinking is to get a nice buzz going. Just bein' honest.

| Re: Finally I agree with you TMC, except when I'm doing some yardwork or outdoor physical exertion. In that case, I'll have a beer because it's so refreshing -- and probably to get buzzed too

| Re: Finally I thought this would be about the actual beer being in school colors. Bad link, by the way. I'm a Miami fan, so that orange and green beer would look just beautiful coming back up!

And I'm with firstdown, who cares what the can looks like, cold and quality/quantity (depending on mood) is what matters most.

| Re: Finally I agree only drink beer for buzz/drunk. Usually when I have just one I get either both tired or a headache. BD yo uare also right kids and hangovers don't mix! Actually probably the worst combo going.

| Re: Finally Just glad I'm not alone. I definitely enjoy the flavor, but when I'm drinking, I want to feel something or else I'm not going to do it at all. Maybe it's because I'm trying to lose some weight and when I have a soda it's 0 calories, versus having two "social" beers which total around 200-250 calories and then I have nothing to show for it.

| Re: Finally I'm the opposite, I don't like getting drunk anymore. Once I had kids I realized I couldn't afford to deal with any kind of hangover, because they were going to be their energetic selves no matter what. I drink it entirely for taste now and avoid having more than 3 to prevent myself from getting any sort of headache the next day. |

| Re: Finally Yeah, I stop at three now as well...usually. Kids and hangover has got to be the least sought after weekend combination. I will take this opportunity to tout a nlager I had at Outback steakhouse called James Boag's premium lager. Damn fine stuff! Our local Kroger grocery store had it for a limited time.
