God I have tired to like the Wire I really have and I live near B-more. I just don't see why folks get so excited about it. See Wire streaming anywhere? I think I may pick the biker one on FX, as my next pour into series.

I've watched Dexter since the beginning and it's okay. I thought the first season was great, the 2nd & 4th were pretty good, and the rest were just so-so.

| Re: What New Shows Are You Watching? It may have already been mentioned in this thread, but did anyone watch Homeland on Showtime? I just watched the whole 1st season OnDemand last week and it's definitely the best new show I've seen in a long time. Great cast, really good acting and writing, and Claire Danes' character professes to be a huge Redskins fan (it's about the CIA so it mainly takes place in DC) which is a nice bonus. I highly recommend it.

| Re: What New Shows Are You Watching? Just started watching Friday Night Lights with Netflix on a whim mainly because I have a crush on Connie Britton dating back to her days on Spin City. Turns out I may have stumbled onto one of the better shows on TV (the 8.6 user rating on IMDB seems to confirm that). Also nice to see a portrayal of High School Football using players that actually look like they belong in High School, as opposed to the Hollywood versions where players are all at least 6'1 and growing facial hair.
