Re: How to stop smoking?
I personally smoked for a little less then a year. It was then on January 1st that I decided to quit. About a month later I was in a bar, drunk and saw a cigarette box on an empty table with one cigarette left in it. I lit it up (still don't remember how) and about two or three puffs later I remember telling myself that this was stupid and just put it out. Since then I haven't smoked any form of tobacco.
My point being that it amazes me how different we can be, especially with things like addiction. Some people can't resist gambling, others can't stop smoking cigarettes while others can truly stop whenever they want. Personally the only time I've been addicted to a drug was with Painkillers and I only say that because after taking them for a week after surgery I had about two days of slight withdrawals but other then that the addiction gene doesn't seem to run in my blood, at least when it comes to substances. Personally I'm still trying to quit the Warpath but we'll see how that holds up.
Anyway keep up the good fight Trample, it's definitely one worth fighting. I also think it's great that you have a strong support structure around you.
