You guessed wrong bucky! My bank is and has been making a profit throughout this economic downturn. Even if we had taken a bailout, how is it the President (Bush or Obama) gets credit? The last time I checked, Congress passed the bailouts and it was the taxpayer's money.

Yeah, but few people give a damn about his speech. Jobs are another thing!

I read some of it and what the heck is he talking about in this quote about Regan.

Obama said "Ronald Reagan's efforts on arms control and embrace of perestroika not only improved relations with the Soviet Union, but empowered dissidents throughout Eastern Europe."

Arms control with the Soviet Union? I thought it was an arms race and we just out spent them until they gave up and went broke and when did he embrace Perestroika? Maybe I'm missing something here.

It's like dating. The best time to find a girlfriend is when you already have one.

The same goes with jobs.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I wish I could grab a beer with you. Something tells me you have some ridiculous life stories.

And who cares about the Peace Prize, aren't there more important things to talk about... Like Tiger Woods?

I was particularly captivated by the fact that he didn't shy away from his decision to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan and went on to make, on some level, a moral argument for war itself. He was blunt in stating that America has bled and fought for peace like no other nation. How war is sometimes neccessary, but never glorious. He acknowledged both Republican presidents (Nixon, Reagan) and Democrats in their respective efforts to balance the need for human rights, diplomacy, and weilding military power when needed.

All in all, even President Obama's harshest critics will find plenty in this speech that would make one proud to be American.
Good try. Unfortunately this is about as good as it gets for this crew.

You don't find it one bit funny last week he was sending 30,000 troops to fight a war (thats not the funny part) and the next week he is getting the Peace Prize?
