| Janet Napolitano Said The System Worked She goes on CNN and said the system worked after a man on the watch list was able to get on a plane with a bomb. The goverment also received a phone call from the guys dad and we where well informed that he could be a risk but he could still get on a plane. She latter changes her story and blames other for taking her comment out of context. The funny part is she was never asked if the system worked she added that in as part of another question. |

| Re: Janet Napolitano Said The System Worked Oh, I don't doubt she can handle the job. She's no light weight for sure. I just think she did a poor job on the PR side of this. That's all. I'm pretty confident that Homeland Security aren't sitting around waiting for the next shoe to drop. They know they've taken a big blow on how this was publicly handled. I think the big lesson here is, when it comes to our national security just shoot straight and cut the bullshit. |

He sends Napalitano out to claim "All is Well, nothing to see here", while he is cloistered in some vacation hideout smoking cigarettes. Then, when Napalitano's version is attacked and ridiculed, he himself emerges to say the exact opposite of what she had been told to say. Sorry babe, that's the Chicago way. She said he was on a watch list and said there was no reason to put him on the no fly list. First the watch list would stop him from getting a US Visa. Well, he allready had a US Visa and second if his own father calling to say he had flipped is not enough to put him on the no fly list then what is? This is now the second person who should have beeen stopped before they could kill anyone and we just got lucky here his bomb did not go off. She also said that we did stop him from blowing up the plane but we did not stop him it was only because of the faulty bomb that stopped him. |

| Re: Janet Napolitano Said The System Worked that watch list is a joke. there are over 500,000 names on it. it was hatched during W's watch, and never really updated. and does she really need firing? because if that's the case, Pres. Bush was briefed well before 9-11 of the possibility of someone flying planes into the white house, and did nothing
