| Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave I take back some of my earlier negativity. The cap is collecting right now about 3/4th of the total spill. They are ramping it up each day. If they can get 20,000 barrels a day from it like they are expected to, then that should greatly, greatly slow the spill until the relief wells are finished. At this point, they can finally start making a dent on the oil thats on the surface....maybe most of florida is saved now, maybe the greater atlantic....

| Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave I'll have to say as a supporter of offshore drilling our politicians (both parties) have really screwed the public with these oil rigs. I would have never thought that we would have an oil leak that could go on for a month and this one could go for a six or more months. How the hell could goverment allow this to happen? I'm not big on regulations but this is just common sense that we have ways of stopping a major oil leak. Every single one of them Republican and Democratic have sold us off to big oil and there influence in Washington. |

| Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave Thats pretty stupid. Its was Obama office thats signed off on this and it was also Obama who gave the OK to start new offshore drilling in VA and other areas. Also how did Louisiana and Texas profit off this oil well. Both parties are to blame period. |

| Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave Even through all the devastatison they are crying about don't take away he oil money. don;t take away teh opil well. hoe si thast stuopid. You live by the oil and when something happens we pretend like nothing is suppose to happen. Oil rigs are perfect when the profit comes in. But, when something goes wrong. Well we see the results. It's a conscience choice, nobody twisted their arms for that oil money. They wanted more and more.

| Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave The only problem is nothing can be done. If you are digging one mile beneath teh sea, what can you do? Absolutely nothing. Somethings humans can't do. Pray. that's one rig, and it did all this damage that means digging down there is really really dangerous to the environment.
