| Re: Madden 2011 So I just beat the Texans in Pro mode 91 to 20... (I dunno whats up with that either) And sometime in the 4th quarter (8 min quarters) I look around... and see Thomas and Kelly playing DBs! Wtf's wrong with the subs this year?

| Re: Madden 2011 The same thing happened last year. All of the sudden there'd be a WR playing DB. It's crazy. Especially when you play a lot of dime or quarter defense.

| Re: Madden 2011 Sigh. I just don't like the way the game feels so far. For some reason it feels slow.. Although I do kinda like the gameflow thing, everything seems like its moving in slow motion.. I feel like NCAA 11 is actually superior to Madden 11 at this point.

The game definitely has a different feel to it this year, not sure if it's due to the locomotion or what, but it's definitely different. So far I'm really out of sync in the passing game. Throwing 2-3 INTs per game, the CPU makes you pay for bad throws. QB accuracy has changed, you see more overthrows and balls that are just off target. The running game is supposed to be easier but I haven't seen that yet. Only averaging 3 yards per pop. Too many stops in the backfield. I remember having trouble running last year too but eventually got the hang of it. Probably will be the same for this year. As far as the new features, gameflow may be good for the newbs but for the veterans I can't see anyone using it. I've already turned it off, and turned sprint back on. The game planning is cool but you have to spend a while working on it. I dunno, I just can't get used to not calling my own plays. You can adjust the game speed too but I like the slower pace, feels more realistic to me, though the slow speed is probably what's throwing me off in the passing game. The timing is just a little off. I'm starting to get the hang of the new pre-play controls, but I feel like it will take a while to become 2nd nature. Once the patch comes out I'll probably go back to the old way. It's definitely an offensive geared game this year. You see a lot of broken tackles, probably too many in fact. Seeing a RB bounce off someone like Haynesworth gets annoying quick. Good game overall, but only a modest improvement over '10.

| Re: Madden 2011 Most bad reviews are from Madden veterans like us who dont like the computer calling plays for us and not being able to use turbo. However, when you turn turbo on, and call your own plays, its just like the madden of old. I like it...huge upgrade from last year

| Re: Madden 2011 I think that the off target passes are balanced by the fact the recievers make those sideline circus catches now (nice give and take). I haven't thrown too many picks but I sure as hell take a lot of sacks. I like the feel of the locomotion and have had no prolems in the running game. The only thing that has really pissed me off is when I throw a deep pass to a WR and it appears as if he is right under the ball and he doesn't catch it. Sure they will try and catch underthrown balls but they won't put their hands up for a perfectly thrown pass.

| Re: Madden 2011 looks awesome, but I could see that rc car getting old quick. I liked the look of the map that had a rocket taking off in the background and being able to record clips from multiplayer will be super bad ass.

Boils down to this for me, the new changes such as gameflow or no sprint can be turned off, and the pre-snap controls are going to be patched soon. I like the overall feel of the game, feels more natural. You need to play it to really see what I mean. For a hardcore Madden guy, it's worth buying.
