| F...2010 The worst year of my life. In the first five months, five different relatives died. One each month, some unexpectedly others after long painful battles. Then things calmed down over the summer. The fall began with the wonderful news that me wife and I were expecting our first child this spring. Not only that but five other cousins were too all around the same time. But now as the year ends with just a few months to go until my son is born we're told the baby has basically no chance at survival. So we have the option of ending it now or letting him die on his own, probably over the next few weeks. I cant even begin to describe how horrible this feeling is. For my wife to still feel him kicking, for us to see ultrasounds of him only to know we may never get to hold him. All my wife keeps telling me is "I just want to hold him in my arms, even if just for one minute before he goes" I'm getting teary eyed just writing this, so F...2010

Hold close to each other, and remember the love that conceived your little one is very real. Hold tight to it, and know that many many people are sharing and supporting you. Just hold on sir, hard as it is. |

| Re: F...2010 So sorry to hear this. There is nothing said that can make sense of how or why this happens. If you don't mind me asking what are they seeing that leads them to believe he has no chance of survival?

| Re: F...2010 For lack of better terms that's ****ed up. I think the important part is how will the baby feel.. will it be suffering waiting to be born or is it just not expected to last past that point if it makes it? While you always want the miracle finish you do have to wonder about that. Best wishes with everything man, try to stay strong for your wife; I can't even imagine having a year like that.

I don't even know what to type. =( For what is worth you seem like a great person that cares genuinely for others; even in this internet blog world where it is easy for people to put on their "ugly face" you always seem to be fair with everyone on here and care about them. I hope you can take solace in the fact that you still have each other, and still have plenty of time in life to try for another child. That's probably no consolation right now, but try to stay positive. All the best to you both this Christmas.
