| Re: Rapper "Soulja Boy" disses the real SOLDIERS I probably am. If it's considered rap/dance/hiphop/gangster or hood boy music it sucks dog snot thru a plastic straw.

| Re: Rapper "Soulja Boy" disses the real SOLDIERS Instead of discussing what a pos DeAndre Way is, this has just turned into a thread about a select few that don't like rap. If you don't like rap what are you doing here? |

| Re: Rapper "Soulja Boy" disses the real SOLDIERS We get it, you don't like rap. Is there any other things you want to add to the discussion? If it's anything related to how you feel about rap, don't bother. I think it's pretty clear what your stance is. |

| Re: Rapper "Soulja Boy" disses the real SOLDIERS http://www.thewarpath.net/parking-lo...ght-now-4.html (What song are you listening to right now?) http://www.thewarpath.net/parking-lo...elections.html (Any New Music Selections?) Either add something useful to the thread or keep your thoughts to yourself. This thread is going downhill quickly since you apparently refuse to stop muttering on and on about how rap sucks. We get it. It's getting old at this point. And you're not doing it to get your point across, you're just doing it to be annoying. Well congrats, it's working. |

| Re: Rapper "Soulja Boy" disses the real SOLDIERS sounds like alot of us early 30 somethings yearn for the days of gangstarr, krs, common, de la, beasties, wu tang etc . . . .but doesnt that make us the old guys telling the young 15 somethings their music isnt really music like im sure we were told when we were 15? i thought souja's explanation and apology that his words were misunderstood was lame, bout as lame as all those radio, mass marketed rappers. we sound like that redneck in the intro to stakes is high . .

| Re: Rapper "Soulja Boy" disses the real SOLDIERS Many of my fellow vets consisting of both current and former soldiers blew facebook up about this earlier today. I have to agree that it was a pretty douchebag thing to do. On the other hand at least his PR people are handeling it pretty well. They are trying to remove the video from the internet and the album will be released without that song on it. In another face saving move he has stated that he wants to meet with Army officials and offer free concerts etc. I doubt it will work, but the lip service is nice. Personally I have only heard one of his songs and it was pretty catchy if you were trying a new form of line dancing in the club, but is was a far cry from true artistry. I miss rap with actual lyrics. Now if you will excuse me I have to "Superman this HO!" |

| Re: Rapper "Soulja Boy" disses the real SOLDIERS Being a kid/teenager in the 90s and Ill always be a rap fan. Rap was just a punk rock as punk rock and grunge which florished at the same time in the early 90s. Just like grunge/punk rock then and now "indie" rock...rap is just alot of water-down crap including soulja boy. Most of rap is all bout making cash, and alot of posing...most these guys have very little talent. Its part of an industry about money than actual art. But their are still artist, but you gotta look hard for it

Eminem is good, never really like him though. Nas is one of my favorite artist of all times...from a rapping standpoint he is the most talented on the list. I heard a little of Krit, not bad, on the single though he verse is kinda weak def gets outshined by bun and luda. Wayne ok hes never really stood out too me. If you want to talk down south....go to Houston Zero, Bun, Chamillionare, Devin the Dude etc.It raw, less "lights" more actual rapping. Drake? nawww not buying him a talented, dudes a bore...trys too hard
