| Guns Guns Guns Anyone else here a gun enthusiast? I'm just now really getting into collecting and firing guns on a constant basis. Just bought a Rock Island Armory (aka Colt) .45 M1911A1. Badass. Pics forthcoming

| Re: Guns Guns Guns O yeah. The palm grip safety, nice and heavy. Much better than these terrible, plastic new fangled handguns. I've put ~750 rounds through it and it's fantastic. No jams, nothing. DEAFENINGLY loud though.

| Re: Guns Guns Guns I've gone to the gun range a few times... I shot some sweet semi auto rifle with a badass scope/s. (You could change the scope type and the color!) It was smooth and no kickback and honestly as soon as I fired it I wanted it. Unfortunately I can't remember what type it was. Then I shot this thing. ![]() Russian SKS. Not only was it ridiculously heavy, but the kickback hurt like crazy. Never picking that thing up again.

O yeah. SKS's buck like crazy. Anything that fires a 7.62mm round is gonna hurt a bit. Would love to know what kind of scope was on the rifle you shot. I'm looking into buying an AR-15 and a scope like that would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeet The bayonet on that SKS is badass too

| Re: Guns Guns Guns I'm definitely a rifle/shotgun chick. Handguns just don't do it for me.

| Re: Guns Guns Guns I have a couple of Bushmaster's. .223 is truly a blast on the range....no recoil...cheap...accurate. I have not looked in a while but the Bushmasters have a good rep and I can vouch for the quality. I was.....just thinking about hittin' a gun show in the next month or so for some Galco leather.

| Re: Guns Guns Guns I thought the same until I bought this thing. I really got it for home protection but now its more of my toy, with my Stephens 12 gauge being the real protection now. I like the .45 because the ammo is relatively cheap and easy to find.

| Re: Guns Guns Guns Here's my newest - Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm Pro (night sights, lighter trigger) ![]() I've got a bunch more. One of my favorites is an old Colt Woodsman .22 that I inherited. It is a solid firearm; cheap to shoot (can shoot all day for just a few bucks), and very accurate. One of my other favorites is a blacked out Mossberg 500 12ga with a pistol grip. It's a great home defense weapon. It looks awesome, too.

| Re: Guns Guns Guns I'm not an owner, but do enjoy going to the range/etc. There are some pretty decent places to do trap shooting in the DMV
