Re: Looking ahead, it's only going to get worse
The Redskins signed an offensive lineman today but I forgot his name. Why don't we resign Pete Kendall? They released Marcus Mason and Aldrige. (Where is Marko?)

Re: Looking ahead, it's only going to get worse
It's going to keep getting worse as long as fans keep thinking short-term.
This year is gone. Mediocrity has been the norm in the Snyder era. We all know why. Snyder's meddling is the problem. There may be an occasional playoff appearance somewhere down the road, but no sustained success. |

Yes, I assume he has to approve them, but I believe Cerrato does the bulk of the damage. |
Re: Looking ahead, it's only going to get worse
With speculation about Zorn being released during the bye week, what would happen if we somehow, miraculously manage to thrash the Eagles? (Don't get me wrong, I think that is highly unlikely.) But assume that Snyder is thinking of canning Zorn during the bye. What does he do under these circumstances?

You can't base Zorn's job off of just one thrashing... I feel you would have to look the job he has done for the team as a whole throughout his time working with the skins... He hasn't really accomplished anything up to a head coach's standards... matter of fact he hasn't even come close to having a successful year. He still needs to go i think |

Wow, nice first post from a lost Patriots fan. :D Agreed, even if we beat Philly, it will show we can win when Zorn's NOT calling the plays. Win or lose, he should go this week. |
Re: Looking ahead, it's only going to get worse
Listen, it's time we did a reality check. I want to win, especially against our division. The truth is that this is going to get worst IMO. I'm no football guru, but it goesn't take one to see that we're going to get skunked with bingo man calling plays.
On the bright side if Soup just says eff it and calls audibles, then we might stand a chance. I don't see why he wouldn't? He's basically auditioning for another team and only one play away from being benched. What are they going to do to him that they haven't already? What does he have to lose? They say Zorn and Soup are tied together. I don't believe that. Soup still has his balls in my opinion, ability, eh . . . . I don't know. |

Now that Lewis is calling plays, does that give JC more freedom to call audibles and plays. I have to say some of his best plays have come when he has called a play because the sideline play didn't come in right. |

Unfortunately, people tend to forget things when you start winning. One could argue that the offensive problems of the Redskins started when Gibbs 2.0 was in charge, but because he was in charge and they were winning a bit more than now, they went somewhat ignored. |

Campbell is in no way shape or form comparable to Peyton Manning, but I agree. Campbell is decent enough in reading defenses and figuring out what to do when he sees who he has for personnel in the huddle. I think it would work if Lewis called in 3 plays and let Campbell pick 1, like Moore would do with Manning. |

If we win with Lewis, then Zorn's play calling looks bad. If we lose, he's the coach. No matter what, he's screwed. |

From what I've seen, this year and last. Soup is at his best when he's calling audibles in the hurry up. I don't think he's going to mesh well with bingo man. He's had last season and this one with Zorn. This is the only chance I see of him and the team doing anything this year. |
Re: Looking ahead, it's only going to get worse
I was hoping for 3-13, but now I believe the R A I D E R S will beat us ';cuz that game's IN Oakland. So 2-14, worst Skins EVER!

I agree even if Snyder is thinking of firing Zorn during the bye week, as the post says, if we were to be lucky enough to get the win against the Eagles I think Zorn buys more time and hell maybe even the rest of the season!! A couple of consecutive wins and most of the Skins will probably be screaming Zorn for coach of the year!! thats just how things go when you start winning |
