What a find Jordan Reed has turned out to be. What I really like about the kid is he's
not into a bunch of stupid celebrating after the play. He shows up and and puts in work. Post game RGIII said he and Reed spent a lot of time together during the off season and his production is surprising. I hate that this might be the end of the Fred Davis era and we probably won't get much in return for him, if anything at all.
Davis is all but gone at this point, and since he's on a one year deal unless we trade him asap we're not getting anything for him. |
Re: Skins vs Bears postgame
My prediction, we'll win at least 4 of the next 6 games, maybe 5.
We'll win at least one of the these: Denver or SF. We really only have 3 really tough games left. Denver, SF and KC. The others are very winnable, some should be marked down as automatic: Broncos ? Chargers W Vikings W Eagles W 49ers ? Vagiants W Chiefs ? Falcons W Cowboys W Vagiants W |
Well he has not shown himself to be a pocket passer but has shown he can perform on the move. When he is in the pocket he just stares down one player and thus all his ints this year.
But just to write off RG3 as a pocket passer so early and he is coming off an injury? He has shown he can perform on the move which is why Shanny drafted him, he's always had QB who move well. |
Re: Skins vs Bears postgame
Looking at yesterday's game, Shanahan should be fired.
Of the standouts in yesterday's game, Shanny drafted: *Griffin *Helu *Reed *Morris *Orakpo *Riley *Amerson *A. Robinson *Trent Williams *Darrel Young, UDFA signing (leading the way for 200+ rushing yds) And also brought in: *Cofield *Garcon *Chris Baker (honorable mention for that one play) *Forbath (didn't miss today) |

We have a long way to go. Great win yesterday. Now let's go beat Denver. They're not un beatable and can be scored on. |
Re: Skins vs Bears postgame
Game ball goes to RG3 w/ Reed a close second. RG3 put this team on his back yesterday running and throwing. Yeah he made a few mistakes but so does Peyton. He made more than he missed. I'll take that performance every week. Reed was just a beast. Looks like Aaron Hernandez out there, hopefully he's a not a serial killer...lol.

I totally agree. I think we need to remember he's still just a 2nd year QB adjusting to a pro style system. Due to the injury his growth as a pocket passer was definitely stunted. 20 starts into his career it's definitely still too early to write him off as being able to become a great pocker passer. He's a smart guy who puts in the time necessary to be successful. At this point though our best chance for success with him is to stick with what he knows from last year. |

He can still help this team score. If the wr's aren't getting it done then get Davis out there in some 2 TE sets with Reed. No need for him to be inactive. |
Re: Skins vs Bears postgame
Game ball to Helu. Three TD's including the winner with 45 seconds left on the clock. That's a huge game!
I didn't say that Tebow is or ever was a better player, I am saying that if you are going to run your QB to this degree in the NFL he won't be your QB for long, if he doesn't have another serious injury, he will loose the speed to get around the corner. The NFL teams that have major success are the teams that can pass without play action (or the threat of the QB taking off) when they are in the hurry up. Don't get me started on the Shannys desire to control the game with their use of the hurry up and the lack there of within the last 5 minutes of the halves.
I would disagree. Mobility of the QB is an integral part of the game. Last night the Colts used roll outs with Luck to extend the field. P. Manning extends the play by moving in the pocket. Both Romo and Roethlisburger are all able to extend plays due to their mobility. Using the run to set up the pass may be against the current trend, but more than a handeful of tems do it. |
Re: Skins vs Bears postgame
Sounds like Meriweather will be suspended per Jason La Canfora.
|
Re: Skins vs Bears postgame
Honestly he should be but that will really hurt
|
Re: Skins vs Bears postgame
Merriweather is probably being told to keep hitting, just a guess.
Griffin still doesn't have his accuracy all the way back, but he's definately improving. WRs still struggling, route running isn't great, hands aren't great. Thank god for Reed, who plays like a WR at times. Lack of speed and poor tackling on defense again, not much can be done til offseason. Kerrigan seems to be rounding into his normal second half of the season disappearing act. |
