Re: Boyz vs. Skins Post-Game Dread
Well we have Reed who is a hell of a receiver and like Matty said Robinson looks better. Plus Im still not giving up on Hank though most have. Ive seen this same offense light it up - the defense I have seen eff up game after game minus a few flashes of what resembles a real NFL unit.
I hope more than ever that Reed can come back 100% because I think he's gonna be a star, but he's a TE. Hankerson hasn't shown that he can be a threat to defenses, he's a #4 WR, Robinson is a #4 at best also. Don't get me wrong, the defense is in need of major repair but we still have the weakest WR group in the division by far (assuming a healthy Nicks and Cruz in NY) and in a passing league, we need to address this long existing issue. |
Re: Boyz vs. Skins Post-Game Dread
Speaking of Griffin, those of you who saw the Ravens game yesterday may have noticed that Flacco was wearing a knee brace and he was throwing the ball too high to his receivers - just like Griffin did while wearing his own knee brace.
I believe that we'll see a much better version of RGIII when he is completely recovered from his knee injury, can shed the knee brace, and has a full off-season of working on his mechanics and his reads. Plus, with Art Briles as his new HC, RGIII will be completely familiar with the offense.[/ I do think we'll see a better Griff too but the knee brace does not make a QB throw high. Both Manning and Brady wear one. |
Re: Boyz vs. Skins Post-Game Dread
There is zero chance art broyles comes here. RGIII is very concerned about his image now. He knows it would look like he was a diva who threw out his old coach to bring in a coach of his chosing.

Is this the mystery candidate SS, some guy name Broyles? |

Is Broyles the same guy who brought us Armstong a couple seasons ago? |
Re: Boyz vs. Skins Post-Game Dread
I just mentioned Art Broyles, er, I mean Briles, to mess with you guys. I see your reflexes are as good as ever.
We have a fantastic receive out of the backfield hardly gets work in Helu Jr. He should be putting up numbers like Vareen in NE. Helu still holds the Skins record for most catches in a game I believe. Our scheme/play-calling absolutely sucks at maximizing the talent on this roster.
Plus Almo to open up the passing game. I agree Goat , and throw in a swiss cheese oline and it dont matter how many weapons we have. Solid pass protection coupled with solid scheme/playcalling can do wonders for the guys already in the skill positions on this team. |

Re: Boyz vs. Skins Post-Game Dread
This is a 3-12 team. There are a lot of players in that locker room that need coaching stability in order to have a job next year.
Coaching turnover means player turnover. When you lose three quarters of your games, it's pretty easy to conclude that new players and new coaches are needed. It's a bit harder for those players and coaches to make that same conclusion.
Very true I still think 2009 was worse. Unlike then I see a potential franchise player at the most important position, as well as youth at wr and rb. Not to mention no albatross contracts that we are currently regretting. |

I see nine or ten players I would like to have back, and zero coaches I would like to have back. I still pin my hopes on RG-3 but I have my doubts now as opposed to last year. All things considered this is a lifelong low as a Skins fan, and thats 36 years of rooting for them. Not sure it gets worse than this imo. |
Re: Boyz vs. Skins Post-Game Dread
I still don't understand how people label RG3 a diva? He's required to talk to the Media. He says what the PR tells him to say 95% of the time.

I count ten players who I would like to have back on IR alone. There are about 30 players total that I'd like to keep. Some are starters, some are reserves, and a few are developing players. We'll keep more than that because it's just not realistic to think that we can fill 23 roster spots in one off-season. |

The fact that some skins fans hate the guy now is beyond me |
