Re: The everything Gruden thread
Stop blaming the fan base! We're just like any other fan base and we don't influence Dan Snyder's decisions.
Hold on just a second and I'll test out your "The Fan Base Is To Blame" theory. Dear Dan Snyder: I say you should fire Jay Gruden because of the loss to the Colts. Wait, Dan Snyder just responded. Dear KI: **** you! I'm not firing anybody because some dumb ass fan said I should. See? |
Re: The everything Gruden thread
This fanbase and Dan Snyder deserve each other. They are so much alike it's not even funny.
The only coach who's truly been out of his league has been Zorn.
The problem is that Dan Snyder and his invisible cronies act like fans rather than rational football people. And they, sadly, are holding the reins. These people hold everyone - coaches, players, and fans alike - hostage. |
Re: The everything Gruden thread
Rabble rabble rabble!!
Snyder has shown pretty remarkable restraint. You hear other owners/franchises leak when a coach is failing as Gruden has to put them on notice, but nothing from Snyder. He's stayed totally professional. These last four games should tell the story. The next game is a must win, the Rams. If Gruden continues to field an unprepared team/offense that can't put more than 2 quarters of pro football together, nobody should blame Snyder for finding another HC after the season. Why? Because solid HC's are found every damn season, even by historically bad franchises. Hopefully we destroy the Rams!! Even though we're out of the playoffs I feel like this is the most important game of the season. |

If pushing to have RGIII play when neither coach nor many players think he is ready is "remarkable restraint," I'd hate to see what true patience looks like. SnyderCroniesAllen is (note the singular) more problem than solution. |

Yeah. I have questioned Gruden through out the season, but stop well short of firing him after one season. |

Spot on write up. Gruden's love affair with the passing attack was a problem back in Cincy and even more with our Skins, given the oline's shitty pass protection and above average run blocking. Still cringe thinking about Gruden calling a pass on that 4th and short, fucking facepalm. |
Re: The everything Gruden thread
and yet Morris is 107 yds from 1000 yds. And #7 on the yardage list. With 70 more yards than Matt Forte and 9 more carries, in fact he is #5 in number of carries.
I think the lack of redzone production skews fan perspective on our offense, but we have been a good offense, even with several stinker games (and 1 blowout the other way). All this with a below average RT, a 3 headed rotational QB system, and a TE that is out every other game. It just seems to me that this has been a shakeout year. I was full of koolaid early on, but this year has been, like many first year coaches have, a year to sort out who Gruden will base his future on. My hopes are, like many others, he will fire Haslett, and get a real RT, and some safeties. Only time will tell. |
