Re: Cousins has arrived
So earlier in the year Gruden was the playcaller and Mcvay was like an assistant. Or such was the talk on here(yes since I dont live in the DC area, my Skins news source is the WP), has Mcvay sort have stepped up on the control ladder?
Cooley said on the radio that McVay was calling the plays. He said Gruden still had final say and what not as you'd expect. He and the others on the radio show surmised that Gruden is dodgy about the play calling question to deflect any negative comments to himself. |
Re: Cousins has arrived
It's time to start getting the running game cranked up....
|
Re: Cousins has arrived
McVay has always called the plays this yr. Gruden will veto whatever he chooses though.

Re: Cousins has arrived
Kirk Cousins' first season as Redskins starter: 379-543 (69.8%), 4,166 yards, 29 TDs, 11 INTS, 101.6 rating. And oh yeah, division champs.
Pay the man. |

Re: Cousins has arrived
boy i'm glad we didn't go out and get cutler. what a mistake that would have been.
only downside is that cousins got a LOT more expensive over the course of the year. you got to pay him though. |

Pay the man.
In just his first season as starter, KC became Redskins all-time yards passing in a single season leader with 4135 passing yards for the year. He did not even play the second half of game today, he would have had more. Cousins also broke another Redskins all-time record as he surpassed Sonny Jurgensen's mark for touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season. With his two touchdown passes today, Cousins has 34 touchdowns, one better than Jurgensen's 33. I wonder how those that said he was a run of the mill, mid level Qb, that would have more turnovers than TD's feel now? That he had hit his ceiling after only nine career NFL starts would never amount to anything. |
Re: Cousins has arrived
Kirk is a legit starter. He's our guy for the next 8 to 10 years
|
Re: Cousins has arrived
There is not a qb that is playing better right now than KC.
