I get what you are saying, but traditionally a big government will insulate a dictator. If Washington DC federal worker collective give 75% to democrats, it seems like that was occurring based on the reactions of attempts to shrink workforce, seek out and eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in federal programs.

Let’s be honest, what seems more radical

making the government more efficient with cuts, rooting out waste/abuse/fraud and ending some federal foreign aid

Or

Packing the Supreme court, ending the filibuster, pardons of family members and allowing an open border policy

Quite frankly it’s amazing
Quite frankly , you lie.

Everything said by anyone left of center: Absolutely true

Everything said by someone right of center: Absolutely false

That has summarized the political threads since my existence in them. And G1 is such a brown-nosing dick-weasel in the non-political threads and the left's little barking chihuahua in the political threads, he gets to control all of the political threads unchecked with non-stop spamming of the boards. He loves to give out the advice but never does it himself and STFU. He probably posts more than all other posters combined in these threads.

Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone mine in Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes and cardboard boxes. The retirement process takes multiple months.

Until the average American fully grasps what $36.22 trillion of debt (as of 2/10/2025) really means, it's simply a lost cause. Our government has fucked us up the ass so hard that 90% of American's bury their heads in the sand and pretend like it doesn't matter.

Why didn't trump change /stop any of this in his first 4 years? The trump cult act like this was all done by the left in the last 4 years . Bush 1 or 2 or trump first 4 years ever did anything about this so now we are to believe his cult he has the Country at Heart . Fuck that!

That's a fair question. And that's why I didn't vote for him in 2020. He never even talked about the debt (even before COVID). Also didn't vote for him in 2024.

Also, I don't blame all of our debt on just democrats. I've never said that. The Bush family was a huge part of the problem too. Hell, even Reagan contributed to it.

The company I worked for before my current job definitely used Iron Mountain. I didn't know it wasn't just a play on words. They actually had people working in mountains lol. I'm now interested in who my current job uses for paper shredding.

Maybe they can take some of those big savings Elmo is finding and have Congress invest in the technology needed to move everything digital, and also hire more employees to process the claims. But then again since when do we care about Federal workers, and whether they get their retirement benefits on time or not.

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/marc-fogel-released-russia-trump/

Marc Fogel, an American schoolteacher who had been held in Russia since 2021, arrived back on U.S. soil late Tuesday night after the White House announced earlier in the day it had negotiated his release.

Fogel was caught with weed in Russia 6 months before Brittney Grinier…but because he wasn’t a black lesbian then the Biden administration ignored him.

Welcome back.

Trump then got a journalist, activist and another American home today

This is a joyous day for Andrei, his wife, Alesya, and their two young children. After more than three years apart, this family is together again thanks to President (Donald) Trump," RFE/RL President and CEO Stephen Capus

Liberals can’t square this fact.
The Right can't square this fact, they are being lied to again by rich men.

https://news.yahoo.com/trump-musk-far-scant-evidence-212149158.html

Trump, Musk so far provide scant evidence for their claims of government fraud

President Donald Trump said he would provide details Thursday of what he and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) claim are billions of dollars of wasteful and fraudulent government spending.

"I'm going to read to you some of the names that hundreds of millions and even billions of dollars have been given to," the president said in a news conference Wednesday.

But the president had not produced his list as of Thursday evening.

In the weeks since Trump's inauguration, he and Musk have made claims from the Oval Office and on social media about specific programs such as disaster relief for states, lodging for migrants in cities and that 150-year-olds are receiving Social Security payments. However, what few details were provided were vague, unsupported and sometimes false.
