Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
This was probably the plan all along I believe. Trade him right before the deadline so he can sit for as long as possible.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
So we opened up the lines the day before the deadline? Cool. Way to give yourselves some time. Man I hate these fuckers.
That being said, I'll take a 2nd at this point. I'd rather have a 2nd then drag this out further. If we get any kind of 1st round pick, I'll be happy. |

It was probably done that way to force teams to think fast, make impulsive offers and over pay. Totally winning off the field and keeping up the damn good culture. They kept as many paychecks away from TW while maximizing his value, win, win for Redskins. That will teach any future players that pulling a mutiny will cost them dearly. Finished 1-6 last year, started 1-7 this year. That is damn good consistency. |

Up here the local guys are confirming the Ravens made an offer for Kerrigan but were turned down by the Skins. |

I wouldn't trade Kerrigan for anything less than a first or a second plus, especially from the ravens who are likely to have a pick in the bottom 8. So unless that's what the ravens offered, I'm glad we turned them down. |

Colts and Ravens reportedly interested in Kerrigan. He will be 32 next year on the last year of his deal with a 11.75M cap hit. Kerrigan's ability to stay healthy and play all 16 has been awesome. Its time. Get a 4th, do a professional heart felt press conference to announce and thank him. |

Oh wait, we have a complete fool for a GM, so its entirely possible. |
Apparently Redskins are now open to trading Williams away.. Let's hope Redskins will not give away Williams for a rotten ham sandwich.
https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1188893506804289537
I've been saying that they will likely get a deal done for Trent at the last minute, but it is entirely possible this is all a bunch of BS. Maybe the front office is just SAYING they are now open to trading Trent now to appease the fan base, only to NOT trade him because "they didn't get a fair offer". |

Honestly, Id do it for a 5th. If we are rebuilding, he would be a cut in the offseason anyway. Zero dead money cutting him. I like Kerrigan and everything he has done for this team but its time. Keeping him over Trent Murphy and Preston Smith has already cost us imo. He has a year or two of decent play left, send him to a contender so he can experience competitive playoff football and a real organization. Making him a Skin for life is cruel and unusual. Let him have a legit 2-3 years to chase a ring. It aint happening here. If you truly love Ryan Kerrigan ... you let him go. He has the record for most consecutive starts for a LOLB in NFL history. 4x Pro Bowler, high character guy. I think he is one of those veterans you keep to lead by example for all the young players. I wouldn't trade him unless you got a king's ransom. |

I think he stays a Skin for life and I don't think they would get more than 3rd for him anyways personally I would jump at that but don't think that Snydallen would. |

If you find yourself agreeing with Bruce Allen you need to self reflect :cheeky: |
Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Kerrigan should command at the very least a 3rd rounder, probably more like a 2nd.

That makes sense, I'd do it for a 3rd but I seriously doubt someone forks over a 1st for him. |
Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Kerrigan and Trent to Chicago for Clinton-Dix. He's the missing key; this time it will work. Maybe we can throw in a 3rd rounder to sweeten the deal.
