Add me to the Django "meh" crowd... pacing was a huge issue for me. Django was Tarantino's first film without his regular editor (who died a few years back, while hiking). I think it showed. Loved Waltz's performance, however.
Sometimes a movie is so hyped it can never live up to the hype. I went in thinking this was going to be awesome and it fell flat for me.

Saw Oblivion last Saturday.
Very good movie.
Good sci-fi stuff.
His female British counterpart is a total babeorama.

Interesting. I completely forgot that his editor died. I felt that the editing wasn't an issue, a lot of movies that run for over 2 hours have their slow parts. It's a movie, it's an opinion.

Agree with you. Very good movie. A bit derrivative of other sci-fi movies, but it didnt bother me until the very end. Still Cruise delivered an epic line to make it worth it.

I have been wanting to see it. Same director did Blue Valentine; that is a powerful movie; phew.

Nope, haven't seen it, but heard good things about it. If you saw Drive with Ryan Gosling theres a movie coming out directed by the guy who did Drive and stars Gosling called Only God Forgives. Supposed to be one of the big hits this year.

Just watched Pain and Gain. It wasn't great but wasn't horrible either and on a plus side, u see a whole lot of TNA.

If u like a bunch of action it's not bad. Is it a great movie? No. Like I said I enjoyed the females in it. Lol. Rock was pretty funny in it. Overall I'd give it a C

I just saw Pain and Gain as well, and it's safe to say I'm definitely not a big fan of it. The fact that it's based off a true story is sad. It had its' moments but those are few and far between. I should've waited until it hit Redbox instead.

Well the trailer made me think it was like a comedy/action, but I felt that the three main characters were stupid, the kidnappee was a jerk, and there really wasn't anybody to root for. It felt like it had no direction, like it couldn't make up it's mind as to whether it wanted to be an action or a comedy, and the grisly parts towards the end felt out of place. And I didn't like the multiple references towards its being a true story, they felt like reminders that crazy asshats like the protagonists really exist out there. I guess if you're not expecting anything out of that movie, it's worth seeing, but if you expect comedy or action it's disappointing.

I thought Django was pretty damn good,I thought all 3 performances by the lead actors were Oscar worthy. The only problem I had with the editing was in one part of the movie a scence seemed like it skipped a sequence,I thought the movie messed up when I saw it in the theatre but the dvd did the same thing.I think it was somewhere in the ku klux clan scenes
