Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
relax guys. i know its just everyone waiting for the real Redskins future to start with Campbell and Collins is in the way.
well don't worry, Collins is veeeery familiar and comfortable with the bench, he's just a Campbell groomer and last ditch insurance. let's not release him just yet. |
two points:
1. pennington is far better than collins, so that arguement is a complete joke. 2. collins is a career 70.4 rating QB, so technically, by your own arguement, ramsey is better. collins also has started 17 games in 11 years, which is far less than 24 in 4. saying collins is better than ramsey isn't a very good arguement, especially if you want to rely on stats. and pulling the coach knows best isn't really valid either. ramsey wanted out and when saunders was hired, it wasn't really up to him to keep ramsey. saunders wanted collins because he knew him well. He CLEARLY wasn't hired on talent, cause their were much better QBs on the market (griese, collins, etc etc etc). he also may have also wanted collins to screw herm edwards and brain drain the chiefs a bit (they had to scramble to get huard (sp?) resigned afterwards). Your arguement also keeps stating that ramsey is a backup and not starter quality, but in a comparision with collins, that's completely moot as todd is most definately not someone ANYONE would want starting.
You excluded the most critical point of my argument. In this system I would take Collins over Ramsey. Thank you and good night. |
Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
damn he pulled a todd collins/ taylor jacobs.....performing enough on the last game of preseason, to impress the coaches into thinking there decent for a roster spot.

Thank you and good night.
I think you missed my point :P I was just replying to all the "ramsey is worse than terrible" stuff with the stats highlights you decided to pull out. I never said your opinion on who you rather have was wrong, just that some of your points didn't really mesh as far as overall productivity (starts, rating, yards, etc etc). |
Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
My simple point was this, Ramsey is nothing special. Someone said to look at his stats, which I did and said I was not overwhelmed by a 75.0 career rating. He's mediocre, that's all I was trying to say.

"Hey, I hear what youre saying about the jelly"

Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
I just sacked Ramsey nine times in Madden 2007. I found it pretty funny that he's as much of a sack magnet in Madden as he is in real life.

Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
All I'm sayin' is Collins: 70.4 rating; Ramsey 75.0; JAY FIEDLER 77.1!!!!
in the words of Matty, "Thank you and good night" (never mind that the Bucs released him, and he has serious shoulder injuries) |
Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
well damn we better sign Fiedler.
|
Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
hell i mean now that Jeff George is off the market we have to get someone good
|
Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
i saw on espn 1st and 10 that the skins coaches are not all that thrilled with campbell because in this offense you have to read quickly and he doesnt. they love his physical attributes but they dont think he has it up top. they said we may look for a free agent next year or a possible draft pick next year that saunders will help select. thats a little upseting if you ask me.

Re: Do you really wanna see anymore todd collins?
It's possible both Brunell and Collins are done after this year, so it's not surprising we'll look for another QB. I think they're just trying to stir things up talking about Campbell. It's to be expected that he'd struggle some in a totally new system.
