Ravens | Suggs files grievance over franchise tag dispute
Wed, 5 Mar 2008 16:42:36 -0800

Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens DL Terrell Suggs has filed a grievance against the Ravens after being designated as a linebacker when the team placed the franchise tag on him. Suggs wants to be franchised as a defensive end, which would earn him an additional $814,000, and he contends he played more than half of his snaps last season as a defensive end. The Ravens contend Suggs should be franchised as a linebacker because he starts as an outside linebacker in the team's base 3-4 defense and appears on the Pro Bowl ballot as a linebacker. Suggs and the Ravens will meet in an arbitration meeting to settle the dispute. The team's negotiations on a long-term deal with Suggs are being put on hold until the arbitration is settled.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers now have until March 12 at 4 p.m. to match the deal. The Buccaneers tendered Pearson a bottom-level offer of $927,000, meaning the team has the right to match any competing offer but it is not entitled to draft-pick compensation. He would be an upgrade but there's no way I want that P.O.S. on the Redskins. Did you read the story about him raping that chick in college? And he's not too popular in the NFL either, he's like KW2 but without the talent.
McCarieans really?
He's got good size, but the guy couldn't catch a cold. He dropped 2 balls at the end of the Jets, Ravens game last season that would have won the Jets the ballgame. I liked him when he went from TEN to the NYJ, but I'm not a fan of him at all now. I thought that he could grab a starting job and maybe start to put up some decent numbers, unfortunately, that didn't happen and he's definitely fallen in my eyes.
