Redskin history is being revisited here. Allen knows this city well and has a history here, should be good for the city. Allen's brother is also good friends with Snyder.

I'm all for Jon Gruden being hired as coach......he's fiery and he gets in players faces that are sucking...he can light a fire under everyone's ass here...thats what we need

I'm glad they brought someone in early.
They have an opportunity to study the players they currently have before moving on to the draft.

I agree but he was fired for not being able to communicate with the players. When he was let go I remember very well that a lot of the players did not have nice things to say about him. That does concern me a little bit.

I got the impression he was going to accept that b) Either Scott Campbell would be promoted to GM or Bruce Allen would be named GM c) if it was Campbell expect the Cowher rumors (as President/HC) to get serious and a fall-back option was to go after Brian Schottenheimer d) if it was Allen expect the Shanahan rumors to almost certainly be a lock (again as President/GM) e) it was leaning toward Campbell

The text I just got from the Redskins says Allen will replace Cerrato as "team VP." Can we please just call him GM?

From what SS is saying, the GM role could still go to Shanahan
