Not for those of us who noticed after about week 2...hey this rookie WR tearing up the league is listed as a TE!?!?!?

Doubled the output of any TE, was like having an extra roster spot every week. :D

I had him in my league and was waiting for them to correct it each week.
Eddie Royal and Deshean Jackson also had good rookie years...same round and draft as DT &MK
Please dont bring up Desean Jackson, it makes me want to throw up we didnt get that guy...

but why rehash it, cause everyone wanted a big reciever and its better to waste 2nd round draft picks on a big reciever than a talented one...this was the FO logic then, right?

I think the fact that we didn't make a trade for vincent jackson proves the worth of this front office. People always clamor for the big flashy guy and when we don't get it we are upset and complain, but now that we have draft picks...it should at least make for a better offseason.

Someone made mention of frist year recievers not producing.... just bringing up examples of first year wideout makein big contributions.

It could be worse, like Carolina drafting Dwayne Jarrett in the 2nd and then cutting him after 2 DWI's.
Trade DT for a 3rd to 5th round pick, and next year use one of our top picks on AJ Green. That dude is a total freak of nature. Skins need to wait this thing out and draft young talent next year. Shanny and Allen are doing the right thing by not jumping the gun to sell picks for Vincent Jackson or one of these other potential locker room problems.
if we want AJ Green we better plan on losing out cause he's going in the top 3 picks. It would be nice though. Don't worry, solid value can be had in Julio Jones and Jonathon Baldwin and a few other stars that could fall to us. Still need OL and DL help too though. a CB wouldn't be bad either.

I could also accept drafting an athletic OLB to play opposite Orakpo, but drafting a WR has proven worse than a crapshoot for this organization. I had hoped that Thomas or Kelly would have emerged this season, but having seen zero progress in three years, we should address WR with a proven free agent before making another draft mistake at that position.

I wouldn't be disapointed at all if we didn't use either on O or D line.

Julio Jones is just as good as AJ Green. He just plays in a run first offense with the two best RBs in the nation. I would love it if we got Julio Jones.

I wouldn't go that far...but he is really good too...and hell, he's already ready for the NFL...he takes tons of plays off.

I would. Trade spots and he gets the same production. He isnt as fast as AJ but just as good. He just plays in a run first offense with the two best RBs in the nation. While AJ is the ONLY option for UGA.

Devin Thomas: 'I just really don't know what's going on'

Wide receiver Devin Thomas has tried to remain upbeat and focused despite being buried on the Redskins' depth chart.

But it has become increasingly difficult for Thomas, the Redskins' first pick in the 2008 draft, to put on a happy face, especially after a report this week that the team wants to get rid of him.

"With the rumors coming out about this, I, I mean ... I just really don't know what's going on," Thomas said Wednesday before practice at Redskins Park. "But whether it's here or somewhere else, I'm going to keep pushing to be a main contributor and play. I'm going to keep doing what I got to do, because I know I can play this game."

Thomas is sixth in the NFL with a 28.0-yard kickoff average. Last season against the New Orleans Saints, the eventual Super Bowl champions, Thomas had seven receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

The former Michigan State standout, however, has failed to impress Coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. With his name being mentioned in trade speculation, Thomas said he plans to address the situation with the Shanahans "just to get the standpoint from them about exactly what they want and kind of what's going on ... if it's not too late. I mean, you never know.

"But all I can really do is just keep doing what I'm doing, and that's just trying to handle my business. I'm studying and doing everything I have to do to know the opponent. And I'm going out there every day with the mentality like I'm going to get a chance, but it's still just been limited to special teams. I really don't know what else to do but keep working hard and hoping it happens. But I know I can play."

I say put DT in the game and see what he is made of.
