BTW I was right he would get fired. No way the school could allow him to keep his job.

Also, Paterno isn't out of the woods on charges either.

I also see the President being charged as well.
For those of you that the emotional reactions are only from the undergraduate study body, you would be mistaken.

A lot of my friends went to Penn St. They are in their mid to late 20s and all I see is facebook posts with Joe Pa. motivational quotes and 30 likes. I really don't understand how anyone who has a child or a cousin, etc. could be so blinded by what occurred to those kids.
guy in my office he is 50 something went to PSU big PSU football etc...

Was out in the parking lot yesterday at lunch scraping off the giant PSU sticker he had on his trucks back window.

The undergrad kids are just being stupid and are swept up in the brain washing, seriously to stand behind Joe P is at this point retarded.

The Cult of Personality has always, always been a powerful force. People identify with the Paterno, see him as an influence on who they are now, probably many happy memories from college are attributed to things he did while they were there. Probably hard to accept that part of your happiness was bought at the expense of these victims.

I am really not making excuses for them - they need to see the reality not the icon. Just trying to figure out how people could still worship him after this.

College kids would show up and riot anything. They could raise the cost on beer in town and they'd react the same way. Most of the idiots showed up to see what was going on.

Sarah: Hey Liz, what are you doing tonight?
Liz: OMG we are going to go drinking and watch the protest, wanna come?
Sarah: Like OMG I'm so there!!

^^pretty much how most of it went I imagine.

Had the school told them you would be expelled for rioting prior, I imagine that crowd would be a lot less.

Interesting article, this story noted in April too:
Madden: Sandusky a State secret - Timesonline.com: Mark Madden:

Also these are the type of Facebook statuses and links I see:
"such a sad day. but i will always be a nittany lion"
To non-Staters | Facebook

Um, BS. You do think he is God and you don't care about the victims. You think football and a university is more important than someone who is enabling a child molester. If people are crushed and heartbroken, the next logical step is to riot and flip cars over?

My sister and brother in law are PSU grads, they are embarrassed by it all.

but my sister use to say when she went there was this:

Student Body: We won the football game today, lets get drunk!

Student Body: We lost the football game today, lets get drunk!

So today she emailed me this:

Student Body: Joe Pa got fired, lets get drunk!

LOL the mentality is still the same.

Holy shit!!

Report: Jerry Sandusky Pimped Out Kids To Rich Donors

This rabbit hole is getting deeper and deeper.

SmootSmack 11-10-2011 10:19 AM

I don't know if you all have heard the latest rumor. Repeat this is a rumor. But coming from some reputable sources.

If it's true...I don't even have the words.

Rumor is Sandusky basically pimped out Second Mile kids to major PSU donors for their deviant needs.

SmootSmack 11-10-2011 10:22 AM

Beat me to it NC. Didn't realize there was already a link out there

This is going to go down as the biggest sex scandal in American history.

I can only imagine if something like this is occurring somewhere in America right now.
